Halloween Interloper - The Phantom Mask

Who (or what) is the phantom behind this strange "mask"? The people associated with this photo have absolutely no idea. "On Halloween night, 2003, the psychiatric staff experienced something very bizarre," writes John, who sent in the photo. "The unexplained subject appears to be a mask, but it was not.
