(1) Anthony North says:

The ‘memory error’ explanation for reincarnation is typical of the supposed ’scientific’ approach. They see a glimmer of a way to rubbish it and fail to account for such things as accurate information in remembrances, or the conviction displayed.
A better explanation is the ‘cryptomnesia’ theory. Here, ‘forgotten’ information from books read, or films seen, surfaces during hypnosis and is incorrectly thought to be past life memory.
The beauty of the theory is that it produces a ‘whole biography’ of a past life, which is more convincing and includes information of place and time.
It also allows for further research to validate the theory, such as tracking down the source and seeing if any errors were made that have also surfaced in the incarnated account. There are many cases on record of such errors, validating the theory.
