I must be a SLIder and I find it irritating at times. Getting in and out of cars can be very painful and if someones wants to shake my hand ZAP! My cats get annoyed at me too ZAP!

I go through so many light bulbs it’s ridiculous. I’ve had light bulbs implode on me. I scared my niece when I was able to manipulate a street lamp and sometimes I can hear a high “whine” when I go into a building. No one else seems to hear it.
I know this sounds crazy but i swear i can sense radar traps when i’m out driving. When i go grocery shopping even the cornflakes zap me. I’m always warm and can walk around in winter wearing a summer jacket. I can affect radios and change channels on the TV. Lately I noticed that things I use become maganetized.
I’ve had a few bad electrical shocks in my life and seem to have some strange heart problems involving tachicardia.
I could go on and on but i know this is definately some sort of phenomenon and has nothing to do with humidity, rugs or the shoes I’m wearing.

Hey Carol, I think I have what you have. Not to such a degree that I can change TV channels, but have had some nasty shocks in my day and can tell when someone has a TV or other electrical appliance on (ie neighbours or people around the neighbourhood. I am good at detecting lighting storms and other electricity in the air. Occasionally I have the lamp light thing, but also have the strange heart rythm thing going on, like the electricity in my body is all out of wack ,or “surges” at times. I am quite sceptical about all these things so don’t quite know what to make of it. Go figure.

Carol,

I have the same thing you have but you made a comment that really sticks out. I’m always warm. My girlfriend had a hard time sleeping beside me because she always use to say that I felt like a bottle of hot water. It’s great to hear that I’m not the only one that shuts street lights off…..

I never knew this was so common. I have the same problem but it’s no where near as bad. I also never connected electrocution to it. I was given a mild shock from a trailer socket when I was five. Electronics tend to suck up batteries around me, the electric in my cars tends to go berserk(random things malfunctioning or dimming), I get shocked by everything from car doors to plastic drink bottles. And yeah, my skin feels odd like, hairs raised up, when there’s going to be an electrical storm. But it’s inconsistent. People have told me I feel really warm but I get cold terribly easy and I rarely run fevers. I actually tend to run “colds,” instead though the change is slight. Also no heart issues that I know of either. At least I’m not the only one with the lamp post thing.

It’s a comfort to know there are so many of us out here with the same annoying “gift”. I found the only way to keep the heart rhythm (no heart condition at all)flowing smoothly is CoQ10, potassium/magnesium, niacin and fish oil. I should own stock in light bulbs. I am zapped whether in shoes or not, I must ground myself before I touch ANYTHING metal. This all started when I was 16 when I caused gold sparks that my mother witnessed while washing my hands. Until then she thought I was lying about everything. Changing street lights from red to green was fun though.
