Eerie Green Sphere

Tuesday May 27, 2008
"In February of 2006, I was ecstatic about a vacation to Discovery Bay near the Puget Sound in Washington," says Mel. "I was outside on the porch of a nice condo we had rented in the dead of night to admire the stars. This was far from any big city, so the sky was a little overwhelming. My step-sister, Lily, who was also on the trip, was suddenly distracted from the dazzling sky to something in the water. 'Look!' she shouted. 'Something in the bay is glowing!'..." What could it possibly have been? Read the rest of Mel's story.

(1) L LeBlanc says:

This sounds very similar to an incident I had in the Naraganset bay. At night we carry green glow sticks to signal if we fall overboard. Late at night I saw a green glow float by so I sent the ship to rescue stations. when the rescuers returned they showed me what they found. It was an eighteen inch long piece of plastic coated with tiny bioluminesent creatures. It seems these creatures are known to be attracted to plastic. This could be a solution for Mels incident.
