Georgia Bigfoot an admitted hoax

Tuesday August 19, 2008
Yes, it was just a Halloween costume after all. And the two yokels -- Whitton and Dyer -- who thought up this silly hoax have now allegedly skipped town with an "undisclosed sum" that was paid to them by Tom Biscardi for promotion rights. How far do they think they can possibly get? They almost certainly face prosecution. Can we now expect Biscardi to cry that he was also a victim of this hoax, although he never examined it personally before declaring to the world that it was real? Wasn't he linked to Bigfoot hoaxes in the past?

The whole thing is so dumb. How did Whitton and Dyer possibly think they could get away with this nonsense? Do they consider themselves clever? Yes, they got a lot of attention, but they didn't really fool the public. It's hard to know what motive was formulated in their tiny minds.

And now, of course, we'll hear from the debunkers that this is further proof that Bigfoot doesn't exist, as if this circus sideshow was somehow linked to serious research and real evidence.

The possibility is still strong that a Bigfoot-like creature is still out there.

i’m still trying to figure out if “Sasquatch” is Bigfoot’s name, or if that’s the name of his species

I’m led to believe that was one of the Native American names for Big Foot, but I could be wrong…

(3) Morris says:

Sasquatch is the name given to the being/beast/animal by one of the tribes in the Northwest, I believe, though it might be from a Canadian tribe.

I’m really not one bit surprised this turned out to be a hoax. The moment I heard Tom Biscardi was involved I didn’t have much faith in the outcome.

I think Loren Coleman is right with his comment about everybody was trying to out-con everyone else and it looks as if Biscardi is the big looser.

Well that does not supprise me at all!!!! Total fake you could see it from the first pictiure. I really do not think there is a big foot. Surely ‘real’ carcasses would have been found by now.

I’m Bigfoots brother and I know for sure that he’s not dead and that’s a hoax, i’m ashamed.

According to Atlanta news stations, the cop has been fired over this.

What do you mean “The possibility is still strong?”

There is and never has been any evidence of bigfeet and never will be. Accept it and move on.

I hope all three of them get mauled by a real Sasquatch.

What about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? or Iraq was involved in 9,11?

the bigfoot hoax was harmless, the Iraq hoax caused the deaths of 10’s ot thousands of people.

Why not get over yourself and and call for Bush to be tried a war criminal.

Stephen, there’s a lot of dumb things out there in the paranormal.

“The possibility is still strong that a Bigfoot-like creature is still out there”

Probably not true. In this day and age with all the people out in the wilderness these days it’s nearly impossible for Bigfoot to exist without any trace- especially in the Pacific NW area of the United States. 100 years ago it probably was unlikely, but today? come on! Think about it…The wilderness is not that barren for there not to be any trace of bigfoot, so it doesn’t exist. The sea is a different story so prehistoric ’sea creatures’ may still be a possiblity. But not a creature the size of bigfoot on land. IT’s possible that insects or small animals that we thought were extinct or didn’t knew existed could still exist in parts of more remote jungle area.
