Just a comment for the witness of the Mexican Tongue Monster – I was watching an episode of “Unsolved Mysteries” (now hosted by Dennis Farina!) in which they aired a segment on reports of El Chupacabras in Puerto Rico. One of the witnesses they interviewed described an encounter with the creature while driving down the road in the jungle. The majority of the details were quite routine – fairly tall creature, long claws, dark eyes – but he specifically mentioned the fact that the creature had a very long tongue, that stuck out of his mouth like a spike. He appeared “primed for attack.” This was the first time I’d ever heard El Chupacabras described as having a very long tongue, and I immediatley thought of your encounter. Maybe what you saw really was El Chupacabras…or maybe there is a “Puerto Rican Tongue Monster” as well!
