There are countless stories from people who believe they have encountered real spiritual beings - angels. Some of these ephemeral beings have come to lend assistance in times of great need, while others appear to give comfort, warnings or advice. And many people insist that they have known, felt and even physically experienced the warm protection of their guardian angels. This is Rebekah's story.

(1) Visara says:

Where are these angels when a child is beaten and left chained to a toilet in the dark with no food for days at a time?

Where were they on 9/11? Were they all on a break that day when thousands of people burned, suffocated and fell to their deaths?

Where are they when a sweet little 4 year old girl wanders out into the street and gets annihilated by a car?

Angel stories are complete garbage

Good questions, Visara — I’ve asked those myself… and don’t have a good answer.

Visara, sometimes horrible events are allowed to happen to individuals for a purpose that we cannot fully understand. If a child is abused without angelic intervention, that child could possibly grow up and become a person with unique compassion for others that enables them to help other people in an incredible way. As for those who died on 9/11, there is no way for you or I to know what each of their moments of death were like. Everyone has an appointed time to die. Maybe each of those people had an angel helping them with their final moments and erasing the fear and pain they were experiencing.

Where are the angels now, while I have to write essays for school?

Whenever I ponder Visara’s question, I am reminded of a quote – “Gloriousness and wretchedness need each other. One inspires us, the other softens us.”
