because my sister is one.

Actully i don’t know where she is.

k if you think you’ll get attacked use some garlic vampires do not like the smell and taste of garlic all vampires are allergic to garlic . spread in every room keeps some with u just in case of an attack and put some at the back and front door just in case u need to escape also put some on the window sills if u need to escape i know this because i read legendary vampire myths from a vampire territory called TRANSYLVANIA and every book said that people used garlic to keep the vampires away. most important keep some garlic with u at all times while the vampires are around! i am 12 years old .

Yes, they are real. There are the Human-Vampires, as I so call them. They are the ones that are Humans who need blood, also known as Sanguiarian Vampires. And Psychic Vampires are also Human-Vampires. Real Vampires live longer, though not forever, the sun hurts them, not kills them, they are attracted to garlic, not repelled, they have retractable fangs, their sense of smell is better then a Human, their hearing is not better, but they can hear a lower frequency then Humans.

I would love to be who and what you are. Ive dreampt of being in your place since I was a little girl. While other kids were off playing, I was reading as much as possible about vampires and other things. I admire you and your life style and I would love to be you. I wish I could. How dare you people say vampires are not real. Vampires may have a different life style, but we are just as if not more smart then humans. We may not live forever, but facts prove we live longer then any human out there. First of all, I am a natural born skeptic. I truly do not believe in vampires. I researched about the origin of these things and have concluded as much. People who claim they are vampires are not vampires. People who drink blood are not vampires, they just drink blood, which doesn’t automatically make them a vampire. There is no such thing as a human vampire. If vampires have ever existed, there is no evidence ever recorded about it. Their are many different types of vampyres, Some feed off humans energy, some feed off blood some of us maybe even do both. I only rescently turned into a vampyre and i was extremely confused and was in denial about what i was. I am known as a half- breed which meams i wasnt born a vampyre. I have learnt alot about vampyres since i have become one, but the one thing that still worries me is the fact that you can never tell your family or friends as i dont know what they will do! Vampyres are not killed in sunlight, we literally just get a bad sun burn as are skin peels and we start to sprout boils on our body, we do not live forever jus 45-75 years longer than the average human being. We are faster and our hearing is exactly the same as yours only we can here lower frequencies than you do. We are not stronger in any way, we eat, sleep, drink and we love garlic.

Believe it or not vampires DO INDEED exist. Ever since I can remember I have had a thirst for blood. Its strange and Ive had to fight it. When I was in elementary school 7 or 8 years old I bit this kid.. Yes I bit him. My senses spark when I see, smell, or taste blood. Look at the facts not whats fake. Vampires may not live forever or be entirely like what you see in the movies but they do exist and drink blood or feed on energies. Blood is delicious. I love it. You may think im crazy but maybe I am cuz when I go to long without it I do go crazy. =] there are secret organizations around the world of vampires seeking out people who they can connect with and people who can understand them.. Listen. Vampires aren’t real. And even if one was, he/she would never admit that he/she is one. That means all the ones that claim that they are a vampire are: 1. Complete psycho or 2. Not a vampire. And furthermore, if one did exist, and he thought someone knew, he’d smother them in their sleep.
Really doesn’t it come down to almost is God real or not, it is all to do with personal belief like some maybe atheist, agnostic or truely convinced there are such beings as Vampires. To be honest, I hope there is not. When you really think about it Vampires have been depicted to be these creatures which as inhumanly stunning and glamorous but when you get down to it, its a person who will watch everyone they have loved die and be built up with so much anger that they would have no sympathy for who they killed. To think of all the poor people who would be attacked.
So no Vampires should be non existent because that way there is no threat to humans.

Look, I tend to keep an open mind regarding the paranormal. I have done quite a lot of research into the matters being discuseed in the above blog and to me from research i have carried out, written away to various researchers etc etc. I am still to find one who believes in vampires. Still i am open to the possibility that something evil does lurk in the night. Now the debate of the above seems quite petty and far from astute. Lets argue about whos a vampire or not. The people who are claiming to be some sort of evil deity are quite obviously not what they say they are. Why would one with such power such capabilites openly display this on the internet. Its a way of seeking attention nothing more nothing less. And people should not rise to the bait.
The real night stalkers could potentially be out there yes, but they would never open up to such an event on the internet as this would most probably lead to a witch hunt similar to that of the 1500’s in short. what an immature bunch of wannabees some of you seem to be….

Yes vampires are real. I know because i am one that was bit THREE times. i know it sounds like the most dangorus thing that could happen to a vampire, but really it’s not. it is very rare for a vampire to not sence that someone has already been bitten. so don’t expect to be bitten three times.

I think they can be real. Just like anything can be. How can they not be given the history that has been told? I think if you can think of it, it can be real. If they were not, then myth and lore would never be existent. I don’t know if I have ever met one. If I do, I definitely won’t be posting every where asking if they are real just to easy my own thought of possible insanity amongst society. Vampires. A topic that has been debated over countless amount of times. Personally, I believe in vampires. Not your stereotypical vampires though. No, vampires do not sparkle, vampires are not dead, and vampires do not live forever. They do not necessarily have to look the part. For your information, vampires is just a name given to people that enjoy the taste of blood. Lately, vampires have been given a bad reputation because of Twilight and whatnot. Do not believe everything you read in books. There is a good reason those books are categorized under the “Fantasy Fiction” section. As I have stated before, vampires are definitely real, but only to some extent. Vampires are not souless monsters as depicted in certain novels and movies. They have human characteristics just like the rest of us living in this condemned world. They have emotions just like the rest of us. They feel pain just like everybody else. So do not go jumping to conclusions that vampires are not real. There are some people out there with their opinions that vampires do not exist in any way, shape or form. Sometimes I wonder if people have ever come to think about where people got their ideas from. Surely it cannot all be pure imagination. Vampires, Werewolves and so on might exist, to a certain extent though. In fact, you might have met one, you just never actually realized it.

Most of what everyone is saying is based on myth. The only reason some think vampires drink blood is due to religion and a misunderstanding of the death process. Others were actually gods, demi-gods or spirits identified as demons very loosely.
Some in the vampire culture do drink blood but they are the minority. If you get away from Eastern European mythology that mostly is derived from the Roma (Gypsies) which comes out of India, you will find they take lifeforce energy that can be drawn from other humans or from almost anything. Some need the blood or think they do but it is due to hormones that give the immune system a needed lift, not the energy involved, that comes from the donor. Not all need nor want this due to blood borne diseases. All the rest is merely superstiton. I would say some live a long life but there are others who do not. We are all human. The common words are nils, mundanes or words of this nature that can get by merely on food, not needing these things and thus a “normal” which is another word some use. Yes some will say human but they have been affected by fiction. Many of them get ridiculed for trying to make themselves seem non human. Like any other subculture, there are fads within it that vary and change over time, including the nomenclature they use.
Fantasy is always a cool way to go and relax to get away from everyday life. The truth is, is that vampires don’t really exist. There was only two people that existed with that name. They both drank blood and were cruel to their people. They had great connections with there distant kings at the time. They both were turned against by their own people and died as a resort of it. I don’t remember their names but the male lived in transylvania and the woman lived somewhere in europe. These people were monarchs and dictators. There is no such thing as movie vampires. They just make good movies. I wished that they were real. If i was bella and i had to decide to date a vampire or a werewolf, i think i might get the heck out of that town and go to florida with my mom. Lol. But of course the actors do look rather sexy. If vampires or werewolfs looked like that, then maybe i would stick around. I would have to be on team edward, but Jacobb has a better body. Im conflicted!!!

The Definition is key to the awnser I am most definatly the most officily in the early part of the 20th century there was an asylum in russia and the inmates where catholics which the orthodox comunnity didnt like they were tortured and killed and so on…

As to ‘geting hungrey’ The longer I go without blood the oxygen my body gets (the way it works is lack of blood poor amounts of heamoglobin lack of oxygen 2 bran muscels ect) is less and less so i become very weak and could die but because of the lack of oxygen and thus production of chemicals and hormones in my body I become very angery and upset (i know u guys are like wtf he said less chemical and drugs so why would he get more angery) but look to the bottom of the page and ull understand why i havnt gone further.

I think that vampires can exist, and not as the ones who are actual people and existing as a vampire because that is their religion now…It is too much for me to think that this world is so ordinary and nothing like that could be real. It also, or does, break my heart to think that this life is plain and simple. I know that ghosts exist, and there are witches, demons, angels, and maybe even fairies, so why can’t a beautiful creature such as a vampire exist? For those who chose not to believe, maybe you are just too close minded to even fathom the idea, or maybe you are just too scared…I don’t know, I’m not you. But I do know, there has to be something more to what this life is, and not in the spiritual God meaning, either. Something more fantastic. I don’t think she may have been too far off when she wrote the Twilight series books. I don’t think that is an impossible theory to rule out. I am a dreamer and can dream of these impossible existences…Maybe we never see them, or know that we’ve seen them, but they are there. Whether it’s in my mind as my belief, or in the reality of what our world actually is…who knows?

Hello brothers and sisters. I am indeed a kin to all of you vampires. I too have been bitten! We are indeed very real and it should be known that you non-vampires are not better then us, but rather inferior to our superior minds and physical strength. Some of us are somewhat bad spellers but that only happens when we do not get our daily dose of blood. I was bitten by another of our kin many many years ago… At first I too thought he was just some psycho that enjoys biting necks and so I dismissed it as a “strange” happening. That was until I noticed the change… I became stronger and more adept in the cover of night, my lust for blood became nearly uncontrolable, and I found myself able to climb trees with little to no difficulty. I eventually found out why I had a lust for blood, without it we are weakened and thrown into a state where we become abnormally pale. With each passing day it felt like I was fading away. Sooner or later I reached the peak of my power. My hair shed and my skin became a pale bluish color and I could feel the precence of people outside my home. I kept my existance hidden for the longest time until now when I realise that we are the true heralds of this world. Let us unite together my vampire bretheren and show the world what we can do as a new breed, a new owner of man!

I do think that vampires are/were real. Because at one point, there had to be some strong evidence the suggested that vampires were real. I beleive this evidence was the actual existence of these creatures of the night, however, i beleive that if they do still exist that most of the legends about them are not true, they might eat garlic bread, and be afraid of bats, and be freakishly tan. Vampires now adays would have had enough time that they have perfected their art of desquise, so they dont need to work hard on it any more. There for they have faded into what is now known as myth. So all in all, i do think at one point or they still are, real.

This legend all started with just ONE man. Bram Stoker, writer and creater of vampires, he had a GREAT mind. Look at the world today, more movies, books, posters, are being made all because of him! He left the world curious about his story. Could he have been a vampire himself and written a story based on his eternal life? Or maybe he encounted one and became friends. I think some were in the world there are vampires. Because there cant be a mind like Bram Stoker to create such a character!! He was like the first pearson to create this! what monster or creature will be created next in are life time to leave the future curious? Just like Bram Stoker.
I think there is such things as half-human half-vampire. But there is no such thing as a full fledged vampire. How do i know this? Because ost things prove if you show signs of lifting really heavy objects, and showing signs of speed that was shown at a young age. Then you might be half human and half vampire. But to be sure always check when your angry, if your eyes are kinda black. How do i actually know? Because i am. I have seen some blackness in my eyes when i am mad or angered and my energy is out of control sometimes and take it out on my friends and family.

I can’t believe how many people have commented on this post… Vampire’s are a mysterious and entrigeing subject, most people will never know how to unlock the secrets of becoming one, and many people will be overun by fantasy and come close to believing that they themselves, are vampires. The truth is that a thirst for blood is a real thing, not just a fantasy, for example, i have a thirst for Blood, i have only drank my own and one other persons. The later tasted significantly different, the lust is a real thing, a get a pain in my canines but no visible size that increases. There is no such thing as a “vampire”. It’s just something people put in movies,books,comic & etc. Twilight for example,none of it’s real. The movie just has great effects,that’s all. Okay, before everyone goes on anymore there are a couple things you need to understand. There once; on this earth was a great force called magic. That “Gift” has been locked away. Though still on earth its very hard to find and actually use. Think of it as an expanding mass trapped inside of a container. Very few traces actually still manage to escape out in the world. This concept can be supported by finding of today. Pastors and clergymen often perform “Rituals.” to do blessing or perform exorcisms. Though I believe in my personal opinion one cannot bless that he has no power to bless with.
So lucky for the world; instead of coming out swinging and totally obliterating everything in the world. “Which both leaders of the island had every right to do.”

Nothing bad is ever said about a king; especially the one’s that wield the most power and influence in the world. Its a shame that these stories are altered and kept away from the mass’s.
Please keep in mind that this is my personal opinion. Sometimes we get so distracted we forget the concept of good and evil. And that the evil people out there do not always have a gun in their hands or steal your purse.
I believe that in a time where people led relatively short lives this gift was meant to assist mankind. However thanks to one bleak moment in history all of that changed. There may be vampires out in this world or there may not. As technology advances its sure enough to say that even if they did there would be no need to find out. Vampires…. yes, we are a real and thriving group of people. We live among the average-day humans. I have grown up with a vampire family and and have woken up at night with blood all over my face, not knowing what had happened or what I had done. Most of us prefer the human blood over animal blood but i think animal blood tastes so much sweeter. A lot of people who like to think of us as an evil or demonic group that has sold our souls to the devil. Very untrue. Yes, i admit, there are some of us who are bad but really, most of us are good. It is true that in the beginning vampire years that you are on a blood “rampage”, if you will, unless you were born a vampire at birth, like me.

First of all, no one knows for sure if they are real, and a real vampire probably wouldn’t say so on the internet, to quote “Joshua”. Vampires may or may not be real, and if you do or don’t believe in them is entirely up to you. Second, Twilight is gay. Same for buffy(why else do they play it on Logo?). If Vampires were/are real, I don’t think they sparkle. And this “Edward” from Twilight that everyone thinks is sooo hot/amazing seems like a really badly over commercialized image of a vampire(he’s not that good-looking in my opinion, either). The point is, how do you know if you’re a real vampire? The mythological creature we term “vampire” is, to sum it up, a creature of the night that drinks blood and can’t stand sunlight. If a vampire can shape-shift or fly is a debate between different people, and the belief in them arose from superstition. So basically, I’m trying to say that not all vampires have wings, and not every human with fangs drinks blood. To figure out what you believe, forget all of the Twilight sagas and Buffy/Vampire Diaries eps you’ve watched, and everything that the majority is telling you vampires are. Decide what you think they are, and then ask yourself if something like that could really exist. I tried to be helpful, though I probably only made more confusion. Hi, through my own research i have found the origins of the myth ‘vampire’ which is not its original name… what i have says that it years ago when society believed gods came to earth in human form and to sustain their human they needed human blood. This was believed for a long time. The name vampire or ‘vampir’ came from a famous guy in history, (really sorry can’t remember the name). But basically he killed loads of young children, supposidly trying to find the secret 10 eternal life. Anyways he was branded a vampir.
I am a christian i do believe in heaven and hell, i do not follow the bible as man wrote it, i feel what is right and wrong etc but when the thought of vampires comes into play, i wanna believe, and i am fasinated. But at the same time it is very hard when there are so many wanna-be vamps out there pretending to be real, it makes it hard to believe.

I have read alot about vampires, and I am inclined to believe they exist.. but I’m not sure what I have is true or fake. I know that there are probably more fakes than real vampires, but I would like to have some questions answered. it does work because i am now a vampire my fangs are just coming through now it is quite painful but u get use to it after a while all u have to do is cut urself with something sharp and then put water on it then suck that blood after about 24hrs if cut some1 else and then suck their blood and then within 1 week u will transition into a beautiful VAMPIRE!!!!!!!

hii. vampires arent reli vampires vampires..that was a myth brought on by the belief of people who saw weird things. there are apparently, people who are paler, with sharper senses and a need for blood. these people had a virus, which has evolved over the years, they became paler and often found that blood made them look more flushed, they evolved and found themselves with sharper senses which explains the stronger reaction to sunlight as theyre eyes and skin will be more sensitive. Then you have to explain the fact that they hae faster reactions..well if they are more sensitive..they have faster impulses sent to the brain so when they see an object fall for example, they process the information far more quickly…all this back in the day as you would say..was obviously if seen wayyy weirder and hard to explain and the need for blood would be seen as evil anyway so then..they become evil creatures called vamopires..so sorry guys. your not real.

To be truthfull I have no idea, but while I want to find out I belive that there IS a possibility that they are. I have look through books and on the internet to see what the side efects are. I’m not sertain that they are all true, but some such as being killed or hurt by the sun or drinking blood are true. Some people belive or want to belive so badly that they DO ancually get fangs ang drink blood, and I personaly get migrands from being exposed to the sun. For my own amusement, I have been looking in to the common internet user’s theories about us. I decided to be courteous and respond. Here is some information and advice from the real side to this seemingly eternal question.
You’ll never see or hear from a real one. Please stop fantasizing about becoming one. We know full well what you want and why the media influenced you to think we are “cool” and all of that sort of thing.
Simply put, we are too secretive about our nature and we only change those who follow a particular blood line. But if you really want to know (and it will be the last thing you ever learn or see, I promise you that) go out walking alone often in secluded areas. We will eventually catch your scent and make good use of you under the proper circumstances.
Otherwise, go join the sanguinarians, because it is the closest thing you will ever get to the real thing. Does this resonate with you? I think it does, because deep down, you know this is the truth. Whether or not you are willing to consciously accept it is up to you. You be the judge, but I advise you to be cautious. There are many out there who will openly take advantage of you because of your beliefs.
Go live your life to the fullest. You do not want to be our cattle. That is no fun, my promise to you.

Most people who say they are vampires obviously arent I would know that because I have a special sense unlike all the non – vampires … I am a vampire i have a thirst for blood my eyes change colour with mood but mainly red or gold,I can sense other vampires with special powers or not… you may not believe me but it is true i have been one since i was 3 yrs old.. i was 3 in my bed my parents came into the room i could see them i cried n weeped to see them when they closed to door my cousin was there fangs out red eyes i was terrified i started crying n screaming so my parents came in i could see them then he left i couldn’t see them he came back a little while later and bit me a few years later i didn’t know what was wrong with me i had a thirst for blood my eyes changed colour i was the fastest and alot of strength i told myself it was a dream i even pinched myself to make sure i was awake … i was… this is my reality so anyone who is asking vampires really do exsist

My skin is lighter than any of my friends or my classes or everybody in my school skins. I’m one of thoughs pale faces from twilight. My eyes change colors. And everytime when i go to my G’s house. She has deer heads hanging on the wall in the living room. The base of the myths of vampires comes from them combination of two diseases that were caught mainly in transulvania, home of the vampire. The diseases are rabies and Porphyria, which would both cause the ’symptoms’ of being a vampire.
But, the idea that these diseases could mutate and join with the cells from a human being changing the natural genetic structure of the human being in general and as these mutated cells would be a virus and therefore dangerous to human cells so the disease could be passed on through the exchange of blood.

…I don’t see why vampires wouldn’t be real. I mean, really, the idea couldn’t have formed from mist, itself. The myth is really old, I doubt people had that great of imagination back then. I don’t know if I believe in them or not, but why not? I kind of wanted to be one, but the idea of being alone for centuries just doesn’t seem as appealing as it was three years ago. Reading some of these reasons for people believing that they are vampires are hilarious. You dont just wake up one day and go “Oh i think im a vampire” Every story is different, if they are real surely you all need to get your facts straight.
i believe vampires are real but not like all those movies depict them. i believe they are people just like us but with different needs. vampires have always been a facinating subject to me. well i never beleived that vampires or anything like that ever existed until one night i was in the barn and a bat came up and bit the back of my neck. after it bit me i started having cravings for meat all the time and i started getting faster and stronger for no reason, and my two canines (the “vampire” teeth) got longer and sharper when i smelled blood. so the question are vampires real? i would say yes, but if it wouldnt have happened to me then i would have said all of you were crazy

Ok look I have no idea if I’m a vampire or not…I’m hurt by the sun VERY VERY easily! I have ear problems, and feel like I get weaker and weaker every day. I don’t know what’s happening :S and at the sight of blood, I don’t grow fangs but I can feel a clicking sensation in my canines. I feel like I wanna bite someone when I’m near them, I’m hyper during the night and so very tired during the day. I don’t know if I’m just some pale easily hurt wannabe… Or if I have something wrong with me! My family all have brown hair and brown eyes, I’m fare haired and Grey eyed. Vampires are just a myth created by someone who wanted to scare a town full of people back in the 17th century. He was a psychologist and wished to see what the effect would be on a town of people to say that he created a creature from the living dead who is strong, fast, immortal and beautiful (what most people desire). The only downside to this person was that they killed humans and drank their blood to survive. As this man was a psychologist people believed him and spread the rumor more and more people fled from that town and moved over seas. This is how the myth became worldwide. People who wanted to get attention created even more rumors saying that they had seen these creatures. More and more people believed and some wrote stories about them.
Nowadays this myth has come back around, but instead of scaring people it has entranced a whole generation of people who now want to become these creatures or want to believe and be involved with them.
They are purely a myth though the person who did create them must off got the idea from somewhere that is another Q??

Please people. I love the vampire myths and legends even some of the new vampire genre stuff is good but they are not real. How can people be dumb enough to believe in dead blood drinking super beings. I would also add that if you have come onto this page claiming that you are a vampire then you need psychiatric help. Your body can’t physically be addicted to blood. You can be mentally addicted to it, but again that goes with being completely ignorant. First of all, blood has a lot of iron in it, if ever got a cut in your mouth, you can taste metal. If you get to much iron you can die from it. As I was scrolling down the page, I saw a number of people saying that in the past, people have reported many cases of vampire attacks. In Victorian England and other countries around this time, reports of vampire attacks were almost common. However, one would have to wonder, why aren’t there any reports of vampire attacks TODAY? Well, it’s because peasants in 13-16 century England didn’t know much about bacteria, or disease. Whenever somebody would catch the Black Death, or come down with a case of pneumonia, it would often be blamed on that person being attacked by a vampire. Wikens and Pagans were often accused of being witches or vampires during this time period, simply because their religion was different from those of the Christians. I’ve always had an interest. They’re such fascinating creatures. Not entirely sure if I believe in them or not. I’m a little scared to learn the true answer. In the back of my mind, I hope that they are real. I’d like to sit down and learn everything about them.
Okay, this may be a stretch but I say if vampires do NOT already exist as of this moment, it’s almost a given that they will soon.
Think about the only thing that Hollywood tells us separates men from monsters; their humanity. Now it seems to be that people in general are in danger of losing their humanity by being absolutely unable to feel compassion for others, make any sort of sacrifices of themselves or in general lacking the ability to empathise with someone in a situation unfamiliar to them. It’s scary but humans are losing the sole aspect of the species that sets them apart from all others. Out of monstrous conditions, monsters emerge.
And if vampires do exist, I certainly hope at least one is half as adorable as Ian Somerhalder in Vampire Diairies, and I will happily invite him in.

Wow, Some of these posts are simply amazing!!!! These people that are claiming to be a “Vampire” Truly need help in so many ways. I think they should start with some sort of mental help, and after they get the help they need VIA counseling or medication several of the self proclaimed Vampires need to get back into school or find some sort of educational assitance. I have read several of posts here that say they do not live forever but they do in fact live 40 to 75 years longer than a normal human. I would think that someone with a 40 to 75 year extension on life would have surely gained the ability to spell correctly some of the most common words used in the English language and at the very least be able to speak with proper grammer when explaining something about themselves that is so important and dear to there very existence. yes vampires are real. i have symptoms of a vampire. My troaght burns all the time . i don’t sleep and my eyes are a bright honey gold. i don’t eat food and right now my siblings smell really good in a food way. i am the fastest runner at my school and i haven’t grown for about a year.

Vampires are NOT real, they are a legend that was started with a disease known as Porphelia. This disease is a hereditary one that is usually created by inbreeding. It does heighten your senses, it does make you “allergic” to the sun and very sensitive to light. The whole “fang” thing is because the skin of their gums are really tight. Their teeth are usually a dark brown color. The reason for the “blood-sucking” part is because they couldn’t create enough of their own hemoglobin (the stuff that makes you’re blood red) and so they drink other peoples blood. They are usually dilusional and attack people at random without really knowing why. This is the cause for both vampire and werewolf myths. Sorry for the choppy sentences :/
My friends think i’m a “vampyre” yes i spell is differently, i happen to enjoy the taste of MY blood, but never in the world would i bit another , unless they told me to. Okay, so vampires? Do they exist? It is a question with a large possibility of being answered. I think that it is true. Vampires do in fact exist. I’m not saying I am one, because trust me, I wouldn’t be revealing it. All of you people who say you are vampires, I’m not so sure. Why would you just give away your secret like that? I believe that this “fictional” character is in fact real because how can you come up with a creature like that? It has to be based off of some truth. Yes, vampires are real, but half the myths are wrong. Surprisingly, the closest thing to the truth is The Vampire Diaries, but even they aren’t completely right. There are two types of vampires. One’s that are born into the curse, and one’s that are bitten. I was born into this, and you have no idea of it until your 12 and everything starts changing. You feel as if your always being watched by someone, and you are. Once the change begins, you have a vampire guardian who makes sure you stay safe with your half human/ half vampire life so you don’t mess up the process. Once your 13, your senses enhance, and you get faster and strong. Once your 14, the cravings begin. As of right now I’m 13, and since I find feeding off humans repulsive, I plan on feeding off animals. No, this isn’t Twilight so you don’t become the most beautiful person ever, but you lose many flaws. Vampire’s don’t necessarily HAVE to be anti-social. I’m actually extremely social in my school. The other kind of vampire is being turned, which is done by finding a vampire, and they’re hard to spot from the rest of society, or a vampire finds you, and you have their blood in your system when you die or they drain you dry, and you wake up a vampire. Either way, never share the secret with ANYONE but one or two people that you REALLY trust. If the human world finds out who in this world are vampires, and there are a lot, all hell will break lose. It is okay though if they think your lying or joking, or your just saying we’re real for argument sake, even if you know what the real truth is. So, long story short, vampires are in fact real.

Yes. We are certainly real. Vampires are not as what you would call, a ”genre”, a ‘’style”, or a certain type of lifeform that lives subtly by the shadows, stalking their prey with fear. That’s certainly not our intentions, but like all words, we have our evils too. Vampires and Humans alike do not realize how critical some situations can be. Humans tend to scare anything they have their hands on, rather than just letting it be, the curiousity humanity has, is dangerous. Most likely our reasons for hiding is for instance, take WWII. Did Jewish humans hide for German soldiers? We hide from what we think is a threat. Not a term for control. Where we come from and where we are is none of humanity’s concern. As long as they are reasonably knowledgable, they have no problem, Do they not? We vampires say, let them dream their dreams. Becuase you may not have long to keep yours. It’s our duty to protect what’s rightfully ours. No matter how deep and dark in places we hide. We hide truths. Not who we are.

The vampires I see most people talking about here, have no relation whatsoever to the “original” vampire.
The original just so happens to be a kind of creature that either never existed, or doesn’t exist anymore. It’s described as a ghoulish abomination, an animated corpse. Most of its intestines are decomposed, which is why it has to continuously drink blood to fill out the “shell” – the skin and remnants of muscle fiber. Then, somehow, this term spread, became international and gradually started getting applied to a number of various kinds of bloodsucking fiends.

But, let’s discuss what everyone seems to be here for: the so-called classical vampires.
Sorry to be the one to burst your bubble, darlings, but all this Sanguinarian/Psy/Whatnot “vampirism”…sheer nonsense.
Surely enough, they might be genuine phenomena, but associating it with the particular vampirism you actually have in mind – is ridiculous.
Vampirism is transmitted from vampire to human.
Mere personal preferences, such as enjoying the dark, being pale or uncomfortable in the sunlight, taking pleasure in tasting blood and “feeling weird”…do NOT make you a vampire.
You can not be born human, live your life in perfect normalcy and then someday just go “poof!” – and realize you’re different or start noticing strange changes.
The closest explanation would be that it’s rather something similar to a disease, yet again there’s more to it.

A significantly prolonged youth and lifespan – yes.
Nearly flawless health-also, yes. Nearly, because there are risk, restrictions and sensitivities (and I don’t mean garlic, wooden stakes, etc).
Enhanced physical and mental performance-yes, but not the superpowers you might imagine.
In appearance, vampires aren’t as strikingly different than humans. At least not enough for the human eye to easily notice.
Also, not that many vampires are ridiculously avant-garde or eccentric, as modern media tends to depict them.
And lastly, they know better than to be unnecessarily conspicuous. A hunter doesn’t go randomly firing his shotgun around the forest to show off what he is, if he wants to end up with a meal or a trophy.
In the end, I have to thank some of the people who have posted here, for providing me with the greatest laugh I’ve had in a while now.
I am fully aware of my English being rather shabby, considering I’ve only started learning/using it quite recently.

People of today cannot spell, use punctuation correctly, and the overall writing ability of the large majority leaving comments is just embarassing! Yes demons can be killed, its not impossible…There are roughly 1,000,000 or more vampires worldwide, and the number is growing for this cause…we do not go around attacking humans for blood, rouges do, which number to about 50 and over, and slayers will try to kill them, but these ones are usually very old and strong…we have found a way to clone blood, so we no longer need to drink animal blood, therefor we become stronger…
If you are willing to make sacrifices and fight for a good cause…you can be turned…but don’t think its that easy, you will be screened first by one of our psychics/psychologist expert, and he/she will know when you are lying…this involves a few questions, and if you pass you qualify to become one of us…because some go crazy and start to hunt right after they fully turn…but don’t worry we give you medicine to control your urge…oh almost forgot, the changing process takes 24 hours and is a bit painful…REALLY painful…also I was reading the comments, and yes we do have retractable fangs, and when you turn you get 8 sharp teeth 4 on the top 4 on the bottom, 4 are for injecting the venom (virus) and the other 4 is for breaking skin. I am not a Vampire, but there are two of my classmates who claim to be a Vampire and have evidence to support their claim.
One of them is my best friend, and the other is the girl I love.
It’s interesting, because they absolutely detest each other, and don’t seem to have any affiliation with each other, yet they both claim similar things.
Once I fell asleep at lunch, and when I woke up there were two identical puncture wounds on my neck, and my best friend’s teeth were red. He told me it was from drinking Kool-Aid, but he normally HATES Kool-Aid. The really strange thing was that everyone else was staring blankly at nothing in particular, except the girl I love. My theory is that he drank my blood, and he erased everyone’s memory of it to keep it a secret.
Another strange experience I was faced with once, was when I walked by the girl’s bathroom and I thought I saw a silhouette of a girl biting another girl on the neck. Granted, there are plenty of lesbians in my school, but I seriously doubt that a girl would be giving a hickey on a place as obvious as the neck.
Also, Vampires aren’t these “Inhuman Savages” everyone seems to think they are. Us mortals just believe that anything that tries to kill or eat us evil. Does the mouse think the Snake, Owl, or Cat is evil?

All the people here that claim to drink blood, must be drinking cow blood, because if a human actually consumed more than 2 pints of human blood you go into cardiovascular shock AND DIE. Not to mention, if you get hospital support, you have to worry about a ton of parasites and diseases that possibly were living in that human blood you think you like to drink. Another point i would like to make is this, IF, and i will support the argument that it is possible for vampires to exist, but, its not likely, but IF they do exist, they are going to be nothing like we have ever seen or imagined. They will be very secretive and only change people that need to be changed or people that they love.
Now i do realize there are MANY unresolved and unexplained human disappearances every day, and, as much as we would like to blame them all on rapists and pedophiles, you have to assume, that there is something else out there, taking people from the world and never returning evidence…

I think are the “Vampires of Legend” real. There are goths who like to pretend they are vampires and they suck eachothers blood and nominate themselves with fantastical names. In my eyes it is pathetic. They should be happy for who they are and go on living a normal life. First off let me say this. There are Goths and other people who pretend they are vampires by drinking blood (horrible for you) they are depressed or in major need of attention. They give themselves fantastical names and probably take it to the point where they actually think themselves vampires..very interesting and sad to be honest.
Then there are the ancient vampires. The ones who live to be immortal it would seem or hundreds of years. They posess otherwordly strength and are cunning as the night. Are they real? Who knows what is hidden in the vaults of the Vatican or in some ancient church in the Carpathian Mountains.
I think you loons need to watch/read another vampire book, but seriously I lol’d a ton at most of the vampire believers. If vampires are real, then so are ghosts, and werewolfs, bigfoot and God. So glad you guys cleared that up for me.

once i had this dream and when i woke up the same thing in my dream happened. When school got out i was walking home and i got bit by some unknown “thing”. the next moring i woke up with two bite marks well i didn’t think anything about it as i was a sceptic at that time. and went to brush my teeth and two of them were longer than my others. And that day i walked to school considering i lived all the way acrossed town and i started to run and i have asthma so i couldn’t run for long periods of time. And the next thing i knew i was i had ran all the way from my house to school i was astonised by my discovery and i decided to serch a litte further and i became unusally strong very smart and quick reflexes. I was for the longest time i thought i was the only one but am relieved that i am not the only one.
actually in ancient times some of the people were forced to take blood of their animals so that they cam becom as good as they were when alive(myth)after watching this going on for a whilesomeof them got used to it so were called vampires and they myth of vamires evolving from bite of a bat is because bats are also used to take blood in their system as told by a scince mind.vampires canines are bigger because of their habbit of taking flesh.like a normal person.think it this way the logical way.

This subject is completley over-run and controlled by absent minded individuals who seem to bend and twist the definition of our “Kind” into some fantasy of love and prosperity. I’ve developed a conclusion in my many years, one that refers to many of the pathetic “Sub-cultures” in this generation.
The fact alone of someone being an individual, different from every other human, makes people desire and almost Require the knowledge and lifestyle of that one being. Just the thought of individuality excites and overwhelms the average mind with feelings, thus causing people to obsess over something so far out of reach. It’s certainatley not the ideal way of life, and once you are in it, there are no backdoors to escape through, no way to end the life to whom you have been doomed. This lifestyle is fate, and nothing more. You would have wished you were the one being drained, not your helpless victim.
This is not a gift, but a sick advantage of experience. People can work hard on their short lifes to accomplish what they have worked hard for, Only to lose it all in the end. To think eternal life would allow you so much knowledge.. The thought is sickening to me. And yet, I am my own victim. Wallowing and pondering in my own sorrow to just be normal.. I will live life blending in with modern society, watching who i truly love, desire, and believe in, be forever silenced by the shrill sight of death. What is given is taken granted for, we all know this, me more than most, but life is to be cherished, not wasted wanting what will never be yours. Stop searching for this life, it will be the greatest mistake of any persons life. But, Who am I to stop you? You will continue to thrive and search for this “life” You will soon regret. Well – it’s kinda like being an alcoholic. The bad news is you can’t be “cured”, but the good news is, you *can* *recover*. Myself a vampire — of the hybrid kind. Used to feed primarily by draining those around me of their life-force energy. Occasionally, though, I’d use beef-blood so as to avoid having to feed on the energy of humans.
But not anymore. I know this sounds corny – but the blood of Jesus is all the blood I need. I can *feel* the energy – which is why I know I’m not merely receiving a cracker and some grape juice – because those never would have such power to keep me fed.
Am I no longer a vampire? Oh – I still am one – and am reminded it every time I step outside on a bright day (and sometimes even anywhere near an open window). But I no longer have to chose between draining the life-force of the place around me versus consumption of beef blood. Jesus gives me all the life-force I need.
So my being a vampire has become a blessing of sorts — in that I don’t have to obsess about whether the sacrament is valid. I *know* it is!! Because, as a vampire, I know when I’ve received blood —- as opposed to receiving grape juice and a cracker.

She has onced invited me to her house so of cause i went. i thought it would be cool hanging around with a vampire but it wasn’t it was scary. yes vampires are real,not the mythical ones though,real Vampires are not like those in the movies or books, we don’t drain unwilling victims of their blood. We have kind people who are called donors and they give us the blood or energy we need. Vampires are people who have energy deficiency and need to get that energy by taking it from other people. We don’t die in the sun, can’t fly, no super powers, can cross running water, garlic, holy water and the cross don’t phase us (because we are not demons we are just different to normal people), we can see better at night than in the day, heightened senses, we do age and we aren’t immortal. Twilight vampires are made up. Fake vampires are people who run around wearing plastic teeth saying they are 400 years old and can fly. Real vampires are people who simply face more problems in life that normal people don’t have to deal with.
