Two new ghost photos

Follow me on:

Romanian house ghostTwo new photos, allegedly showing ghosts, appeared in the news this week. One was from a ghost tour of Mary King's Close in Edinburgh, Scotland. Actually the story presents two photos of two different tour groups, and supposedly the same blonde woman appears at the rear of both photos; they say she was not part of either tour group and therefore might be a ghost. There are a lot of things wrong with this allegation, of course: we don't know that it's the same woman (or that it even is a woman) and we don't know that the indicated person was not part of the tour group. Analysis of the photo as presented in the article is virtually impossible because it is too small and of insufficient resolution.

The second photo, shown above right, is more interesting. It was taken by security worker Manuela Chirosca in a house in Braila, Romania. According to Manuela, she saw the apparition as she was checking the house at about 7 a.m. "I was going for the window of a room which was probably a bedroom or something like that. I approached the window and then I saw a tall feminine shape that seemed wreathed in a white veil," she told reporters. She ran from the room in fright, but returned to snap this photo with her cell phone. What makes this story interesting is that Manuela saw the figure with the naked eye, and if this is true we can rule out camera-related anomalies. If the phenomenon was there, it could have been some kind of mist, light phenomenon... or a ghost. What do you think?

What do you think of the Romanian house ghost?

It is a genuine ghost.

It might help the readers make a call on the photos if they were BIG enough to be viewed! HELLO?????
These photos posted are too small to tell and you can’t enlarge them on your own because it distorts the photo even more.

There is another possibility: the security worker may have seen a real ghost, but what was recorded may still be a camera-related anomaly. After all, optical problems in cameras may occur at any time — why should cameras be miraculously infallible when ghosts are present?

My guess, though, is that it’s a hoax.

If this is the actual photograph, why are we seeing the phone and the hand holding it? She would’ve had to have a 2nd camera on hand to come up with this.

If she claims to have seen the ghost at 7am why does the time on her phone show 12:56??

That’s exactly what I’m saying — or trying to. When’s the last time you took a picture with your phone and got the phone IN the picture?

It looks like picture of a thin vase with flowers, at close range centered on the door in the far backgound with blue lighting.

At one time, I was convinced that it was a ghost that closed the outside double doors of a notoriously spooky castle in England, somewhere. The tall pale creature was in a video circulating the internet. But, alas, I was let down, when I discovered later it was only employee dressed in old clothes and made to look scary. So, I don’t trust the same genre type of photos any longer, especially when they’re so small and inconspicuous that one needs a magnifying lens, or better a microscope to make out what’s what. All this is just a contemporary form of advertising trying to drum up and gather attention and business.

the pictures are too small to tell. I have taken a Photoshop class (and yes I know that that does not make me an expert in anyway) – but if I could have seen a bigger picture then I more that likely could have come to a better conclusion.

I agree with Ann. The tour group ghost is most likely one of the staff or related to a staff member, thus truly “not a customer” according to the “bosses”. Just notice how these bosses even have to allow for an increased number of tours now that more people want to check this “ghost” out for themselves! I guess it “worked”! Ha ha!
