No, is my answer.
There has been an ongoing debate on this question for quite some time, and there seems to have been more discussion about it lately. Those who are in favor of killing Bigfoot offer these rationalities:
- It's the only way we're going to have definitive proof for its existence.
- It's just an animal, like a deer or bear, so why not kill it?
- It might be nearing extinction, so we should try to get a body now before they disappear.
We should not hunt Bigfoot with the intent to kill it, in my opinion, for these reasons.... Read more.

I agree 100% with you, Stephen. Your last sentence sums it up PERFECTLY:
“Because we know so little about this creature, our caution, care, and respect for it must supersede our desire to study its corpse.”
I agree that people probably shouldn’t go out of their way to kill a sasquatch. At the same time, if it happens I don’t necessarily view it as a major negative. The value to science is high and I think that if one was shot it would probably wouldn’t be preemptive but a chance encounter from a hunter.
You can’t kill something which doesn’t exist.
I agree and think it would be sad if one does get shot. I’ve had thoughts about this unknown creature may actually be an alien. Maybe I have just watched to much Star Trek, but what if the reason we never get a very good view or no one seems to find one….maybe they are being beamed up to their ship as soon as the see we may be getting close to them.
I’m not against hunting but why take a chance on shooting another possible being. I’ve never heard where anyone was hurt by one just scared by some.
As a Sasquatch-American, I say, Try it if you dare, but remember: You don’t know where we live, but we can look you up on Google Maps. Just somethin’ to think about.
absolutely not!!!!!!!!! for humane, spiritual and religious reasons and just plain compassion. who the heck do we thing we are? seems like we deem ourselves rulers of the universe the ways we act so huffily n puffily n stupidly
no, bigfoot has been talked about since early 1800’s. written and catolog..even one of our president heard it. I believe what the native Indians proclaim, it’s a spirit, that can come and go, dissapear at will. if not a spirit then it has the ability to go in a dimension we cannot not follow.
