The Universe is made up of energy which binds everything together. To us energy is something we don’t see everyday, though we are using it all the time. Our soul is a mass of energy and when we die our souls bond to the body is gone, sometimes this bond is stronger in other people than it is in some, which is why they live longer sometimes. When I view reincarnation we are looking at objectives that haven’t been met that need to be met, so when we die we see our friends and family who had passed on. This is the stage where all our goals have been met and we’re ready to pass on. When we haven’t is when we see the bright light, that bright light we are seeing is the first light our eyes see when we are born. So when we look at reincarnation it is highly possible that we are being recycled, given different roles in order to meet these requirements that we should meet when we pass away. This brings upon things like fears, personality types and more, why should we be based upon a certain mold? We aren’t, we are built on a code which is a Universal Code that God has created, kind of like the code written into a computer, the code written into our universe is the same. There are codes that are there to do certain executable, such as DNA, RNA and more. There’s no small chance that these things are just there, they had to be put there by something. I have a huge list of theories that someday I am just gonna post in forums and let people have at them. =)
Please stop using physics words to describe spiritual concepts. Energy has nothing to do with the soul. When we die, the heat energy in our body is lost to the room, so that we become “cold” (actually room temperature). The chemical energy stored in our proteins and lipids are metabolized by bacteria, so that we rot (hopefully out of sight in a grave). All that energy is simply dispersed back to the world around us; it gives no hint of an immortal soul.
Indications of an immortal soul do indeed come from philosophy and divine revelation, but they also indicate that the soul is not material in the way that matter (and yes, energy also) is.
The possibility of re-entry into the womb of another fetus is conceptually incoherent from a logical standpoint. The idea that one soul can inhabit numerous physical bodies defies logic. The notion of reincarnation is not only implausible but it is ludicrous. There exist no undisputed and generally acknowledged data establishing reincarnation. The idea of reincarnation is a misunderstanding and a misinterpretation of the phenomenon demonstrated by the temporary residence of an alien spirit in the body of an earthly being. Figuring out how many times who goes where is a dilemma of gigantic proportions. In addition, the argument that reincarnation is not compatible with the population explosion remains effectively unanswered. On top of that, past-life memories recovered through hypnotic regression are notoriously unreliable. The theory is very odd considering the great majority cannot remember their past lives. The concept that life on earth is a never ending spiritual journey is not a bad idea. However, a human soul is not designed, or suited, for inhabiting many different bodies, but is uniquely matched to its own physical body.
Why is it people always say they are the reincarnation of someone famous ? It’s never “I was a bean farmer in 16th Century Silesia”; it’s “I was Cleopatra – or Marilyn Monroe”. Personally, I hope there is such a thing as reincarnation. Otherwise what’s the point of learning and growing in your life, if you just die and that’s the end of everything ? Life is a form of energy, and scientifically, energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change its form. The question is, what form does our life energy take, after death ?
I’ve seen some things I thought impossible, so I tend to rule out very little, so I believe that reincarnation is possible.
However, it seems surprising that so many people claim to have been reincarnated from famous people. Really? You weren’t just reincarnated from a cab driver or milkmaid?
I don’t believe in reincarnation – but then I didn’t in the last life either!!
This will be a comment you will NEVER see on this subject and here it is….. I – DON’T – KNOW. Everyone else here seems to have all the answers. The true answer is..NO ONE KNOWS, you’ll find out.
When someone says he/she believes in reincarnation that, for them, is all it is at that point — ‘belief’. Those of us who are aware of it as fact will refer to it not as belief but as knowledge or ‘knowing.’ The know-it-alls claim that we “believe” in reincarnation, because we can’t accept our demise wanting, instead, to believe that by returning we never die.
I
n truth, that is nonsense. Because I realize for a fact that this world (not the planet) is a hell-hole due to man’s stupidity, knowing that I may have to return to this world scares the hell out of me. After having traveled the circle (reincarnation occurs through the zodiacal circle over some 24+ thousand years), I can say that not only am I a very old but also a very weary soul more interested in the peace & rest (that a corpse can never experience) that comes with leaving this “mortal coil” and manifesting in a realm of a higher frequency./vibration.
In essence, those of us who realize that we are reincarnates, are those who do not want to reincarnate into this hell-hole but very much seek to move onward and upward to something better.
I don’t know. I think it is probable that this is just another way of denying that we die – we physically die but our ‘soul’ lives on in heaven or comes back in another body. There is no proof either way, but if it is comforting to believe this, then go ahead.
Not sure if it exists.
But my question is “If Reincarnation is possible, would you still keep your memories from the previous life?”
This is a true story about our son,who was born with a burn scar on his leg,the doctors were baffled as to where this scar came from onhis leg as he was born with it. Later when our son was about 2 1/2 he was sitting in his highchair while I was fixing his breakfast, and he said ” Mommy ,I had another Mommy and daddy” ,I said really and he said “I had a big brother and a little brother ,and mommy was going to have a baby,My daddy worked in athe ship yard, you had to go up step ,alot of them to get to our home, one night there was a fire and we all died”the hair stood up on my neck and this explained the burn scar onhis leg.He is 38 now and has no memory of even telling me this ,but I wrote it down in his baby book the day he told me. I believe in past lives,by all means,we live many lives to experience all there is to experience,in life .we can’t be judged on one life ,if we never experienced everything.I have had the same reacurring dream many times of me as a slave running ,with dogs chasing me,I recall and have drawn the house in my dreams,I hear shots and always wake up. before the dreams I always had this problem with my back a pain that the doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with ,after exrays, and all kinds of tests, but the constant pain was always the in my back, then I started having the dreams ,after which I realized this is where I had been shot in the back,.There is no doubt in my mind of past lives.
The subject of believing in reincarnation will have many and varied opinions. People who have a heavy debt and credit load to work off will not likely be interested in matters of the psychic and spiritual as they are too weighted down from that load they carry. The human mind has a tendency to blot out any experience that is too intense for our consciousness to recall. If we died in a previous lifetime from the guillotine for example, that might be a really intense moment we just as soon not remember. Or maybe we drowned at sea during a storm, or fell off a cliff or from an airplane or the top of a ferris wheel. These we may dream about as a child in the form of nighmares.
So if you choose to not believe in it, I understand and respect your decision. You need time to heal from such a traumatic experience. The road to God is full of danger. And only the brave shall see God. Do you remember the movie “Groundhog Day” with Bill Murray? He kept reliving the day over and over again and again until he got it right. That is why I believe in reincarnation among other reasons and I do recall one life as a Roman Soldier.
As for people who believe they are a reincarnated famous person, chances are they were close to that person.
