"My father passed away about two months before, and we were in Leamington, Ontario at a place called Collasantis, which is a plant nursery, petting zoo, and restaurant, where we ate often with my dad before he passed," reports Lisa. "While sitting with my three-year-old at a double table, I turned from looking at her to look to my left... and the ketchup bottle was floating about four inches off the table!
"My jaw dropped, but I tried to stay calm and hope she hadn't seen it. Then it dropped and smacked down hard and loud on the table. My daughter looked petrified and said, 'Mommy, that ketchup bottle was floatin' in the air.' All I could think of to say was, 'Yes, it was, honey.' I didn't know what else to say. I couldn't deny it, but I don't want her to think that was 'normal' either. It's not like she could have hoaxed it -- she was three. And I can't see the restaurant setting us up... so what happened? I welcome rational explanations."
If this happened just as you say in your report, Lisa, there is no rational explanation. I just wish you had recorded video of the event with your cell phone. I'm sure we all would like to have seen that!
Was this a case of poltergeist activity? Voluntary or involuntary psychokinesis? Dad's ghost trying to get one last meal with the family? What do you think, readers?

Objects can’t levitate. It’s not possible. Either it was a type of optical illusion or the story’s made up. If her father’s ghost was trying to communicate, why would he lift a ketchup bottle? Wouldn’t he do something a lot more personal so the woman would absolutely know it was him? And if spirits are able to lift objects, why haven’t I, or anyone I’ve ever known see anything levitate? My dad passed away years ago…when are my ketchup bottles going to levitate? Sorry; I don’t buy this story one bit.
So just because you have never seen something happen makes it impossible?
A lot of people have seen things levitate and I see no reason not to believe her story. I would have asked around to see if there was any history of a haunting there, it’s possible it wasn’t her father. Also I would be interested to know if her or her daughter wanted the ketchup. If so it is possible it was telekinesis.
