Why isn't NASA interested?
This tiny object sticking out of a Martian rock looks metallic. So is it a natural formation or an ancient manufactured object? Part of the mystery of such discoveries is NASA's apparent lack of interest in them. I would think this is an object -- whether natural or artificial -- worth investigation and analysis by Curiosity's many on-board tools. Don't you? Read more.
