The
Haunted Police Dept.

I am a retired police officer and the last place I worked was for Conroe Independent School Dist. in Conroe, Texas. We had an intermediate school, which is now the police station, that had a ghost.
One night, a few years back, the sergeant of the regular police dept. nighttime, found a door open. He and another officer checked it. They found nothing. As they were getting ready to leave, someone started screaming and running down the stairs they were standing at. The officers saw a shadow of a person with what looked like a weapon in its hand. They both opened up on the shadow. When they ceased fire, all they heard was laughter and all they found were concrete fragments where the bullets had struck.
One night, one of our officers saw the stage lit up and music coming from the area. He could also see someone dancing. The alarm was on, but was not going off. By the time he got to the stage, no one was there, and it was dark. One night when I was checking the building, I saw all the alarm lights on. The alarm was not set. I cleared the lights and set the alarm. All the lights started coming on and I could hear someone start running down the hallway. I immediately turned the alarm off and stepped into the hallway. The steps ran past me, but I saw no one. I left. No Asian housekeeper would work in the building. One of the Asian girls was cleaning something on the floor. She felt someone tap her on the shoulder. When she turned around, she saw an outline of what looked like a boy that was about 13 years old. The outline disappeared and she ran screaming from the building. This was not the only incident of this kind with the housekeepers.
Finally, they put three men into the building. One of the men was working and saw his cart starting to move back and forth. He told the ghost to stop doing that as he had work to do and the cart stopped moving. A few years ago, workers were cleaning out the asbestos in the building. Since it was summertime, they worked at night. One night I drove up and the foreman and asst. foreman came out to my vehicle. They seemed nervous. I started talking to them and the foreman ask me if anything ever went on in the building. I asked him why, knowing what was coming. He and the asst. told me that every night, one of the classroom doors by the principles office would open up and close. Then the door at the principle's office would open up and close. Then the housekeeper door would open up and close. Then the last classroom door at that end of the hall would open up and close. When they went to the closed doors to check out what was going on, all were locked. They also told me they heard footsteps, but saw no one.
There were other occurrences throughout the history of that building. My son went there and he claimed someone opened his hallway locker door several times while he was standing there. The building is level. Other kids has had this happen to them. Teachers, alone at night time, swear they had a kid playing in the hallway. Finally, no teacher would stay there very long. I wish I had time to tell of all what I have heard, but the building was closed down due to a new school opening up and the police dept. was moved into the old principles office. The dispatchers, who are alone, keep the alarm on and the office locked. I have been gone for over four years and do not know if the ghost still roams or not.
