Paranormal Story Archives The
Banishing Candle After enduring five years of weirdness in our home - months of no sleep on end, whispering, apparitions, singing, bells ringing, floating shadows, footsteps walking on the stairs and in the hallways, lights on, lights off, smelling roses, being hit by drops of water from no apparent source, levitation of books and videos (to name but a few) - I decided to call a local ghost hunter to document the activity. They set an appointment, but never showed up! Well, this was a little irritating and far from being professional, so I called and made an appointment with another company in the Philadelphia area. They didn't show up either! I e-mailed them in advanced and sent them pictures of a ghost that I had captured on digital camera. I'm no stranger to paranormal activity and I'm not frightened by it. I just wanted a little help in sending these energies away. So I decided to do an exorcism myself, with a little help from a friend. We made some banishing candles. We did a little research, wrote out a ritual and agreed to perform the ritual around the half moon (because that's when most of the activity takes place). Well, lo and behold, the candle stirred up some of the most ungodly images, smells and noises that I've ever experienced in this house thus far!
PS: Our home was built in 1990, and we're the second owners. I found out that the builder of our home committed suicide after he completed this house! Something to think about! < Previous Story | Next Story >

The
banishing candle we made should have burned at least three to six hours, but as
soon as we lit the candle and started to exorcise whatever ghost or demons that
were inhabiting our home, the candle exploded into flames! Within 25 minutes the
candle melted down into an oozing mess. The lights were off in the room. I
placed the candle on a round wooden trivet and made a makeshift tray out of
aluminum foil. We heard moaning, groaning and smelled sulfur all around us. The
room became freezing cold and you could see what appeared to be mist in several
areas. With the candle engulfed in flames, I started shooting pictures. Here's
what we captured I hope you or your readers can shed some light as to what they
see or feel from this picture.
