Hotbed of Ghostly Activity
by Julianne L.

We've had ghosts in our house for years. I became ill and my mother, who died when I was 11, showed up one night at my bedside. My husband saw her and she spoke to him and identified herself as being my mother. I was asleep. He said she appeared to be made of energy or light.

Afterward, our house was a hotbed of activity for a number of years. Doors would slam, "people" would run up the stairs and slam the basement doors, my piano would play by itself, showers would turn on when no one was home but me, Lights would flick on or off, things would move across the floor, a soda can flew across the table, drawers would open and close... they would come up behind my husband and he would hear a loud "clap" right behind his head, and turn around and no one would be there. You could hear them walking across the hardwood floors.

After one of the kid's birthday parties, we had balloons attached to a five-pound basket of candy that picked itself up off the floor and floated into his bedroom - while we stood there and watched. When it would come to a doorway, it would set back down on the floor, pull the balloons together so it could get through the doorway, then pick back up turn a corner and float down the hall until it rested next to the kid's bed. My granddaughter's toy cell phone rings by itself, and her toys talk in the middle of the night.
