Fortunate
Precognition

One night, I was driving home with a woman friend from a party. We had left our husbands behind because of a late meeting, and I was driving her home. We were on a very dark stretch of a two-lane highway between towns when I suddenly thought there was something wrong about 12 feet ahead of us. There was nothing visible, which was unusual in my headlight. I stopped and my friend asked why was I stopping. I said nothing, but got out of the car and she followed me. Several feet ahead of us in our lane was a very large hole which would have resulted in serious injury, or death, had I driven into it. Someone had removed a wooden "horse" guard and had blown out the pots of flame set out by a highway crew. We had nothing to light the pots with, but did replace the 'horse" in front of the hole a few feet ahead of the excavation. We were able to drive around it and proceeded on. My friend called the highway patrol when I dropped her off before proceeding home. I do not know what intuition led me to stop that night.
