The Fiery Ghost
by nagmine

I have had weird visitations since I was 8 years old, and I am now soon 20. When I was 8, one night I got up late to get a drink of water. I lived in Arizona and I was always drinking water late at night. I went back to my room, lay down and left my light on in my room. I sat there thinking, then turned to my hallway past my open door and saw a flash of light. I focused on it until I saw a man on fire! I can remember it in complete detail how he looked and everything. It terrorized me. He was about 5'7", was very lean, had no hair, eyes or ears - just a normal man glowing red and orange with fire coming off every inch of his body.

He entered my room, and as he raised his hand, I was forced to look away from him. I couldn't move my body at all, but my eyes. He began to chant and speak in weird tongues, and then said some stuff in English and walked away. I heard the front door slam before I could move.

I jumped up and felt like I had been running for hours, my body hurt so bad. I went to my parents and they told me everything would be okay. Well, he didn't come back for a while. I was 13 before it happened again.

I came home early from my friend's house and no one was home. It was six in the morning and I went and lay on the top of my bunk bed. I just lay there thinking, not really tired, when I heard a slam at the door and could hear someone walking down the hallway. I thought it was my mom, but she worked a 24-hour shift and wouldn't be off 'till 8 a.m. I just thought she was early and didn't worry. When I looked to the door to see her, I saw him standing there on fire. The image of him standing at my doorway is frozen in my mind. I see it all the time - it's like the most terror I can explain.

Once again he walked to me and didn't make me look away. He just walked up, looked into my eyes. He didn't even have eyes; he had a face, but his eye holes where hollowed out and you could see inside his head. I started having a panic attack and he just started chanting again. The only English I could ever make out are: "love or death," "I am a messenger," "there will be more," "you're worthless," "you're wasting my time," "I will send more."

I would always watch him leave and hear him go out the door. Two hours later, my mother came home and I thought it was him again and I couldn't do anything but hide in my room. She later walked in and screamed when she saw me hiding in the corner. She said she had no clue anyone else was home. I never made a noise. After that, it became a normal thing. I've seen so many weird creatures in my house.

Since then I have moved three times, and every house has a new creature. And when I stay at people's houses, I see things there too. Only a few follow me from place to place. The most usual one I call "Pot and Pans." I don't call him this for how he looks, but for the noises he makes. The first time I met him when I was 15. He was in the hallway and was talking, and when I tried to figure out what was there, it made a bunch of noises like pans and pots being dumped on the floor. He scares me the most. I've only seen him recently. I've been to scared to look at him for years. He even tells me to look, but I'm always too scared.

I saw him about four months ago. He's about 4 feet high and is kind of a navy green or gray color. He looks reptilian. He is very skinny as if he is starving. You can see his ribs and bones under his wrinkly skin. All his joints appear to be double jointed because he can move very weird. He still makes the noises when he is angry. When I don't pay attention to him, he yells and screams and stomps, then it sounds like he is breaking everything around me, but when I peek, there nothing happening.

I truly don't know what they are. I always told people I have demon dreams. Some think they are ghosts, others think I'm possessed.
