Small Beings

When I was about six years old, I woke up in my bed very early one morning out of a sound sleep. As I was lying on my back, I happened to glance up and noticed a small white shape (maybe one inch tall) holding the end a fine white line hanging from the ceiling, being lowered slowly down toward my knees. At first I thought it was some type of spider, but when it softly landed on the bed sheet covering my legs, I could make out a small, little being standing upright. I could faintly make out arms and legs, but I couldn't make out any facial features or any markings. It didn't make any sounds. It was simply a very tiny, all-white "thing" standing erect and walking on the bed sheet down by my knees. 

I didn't panic. I didn't try to move. I just laid there on my back observing. Soon, another one started making its way down. Then another and another. Soon there were five or six of these things walking on my bed sheet down by my legs. At this point I did panic. I kicked my bed sheets off the bed and ran out of the room. Several hours later, I got up the courage to re-enter the room but found nothing. No beings. No lines hanging from the ceiling. The bed sheets were clear. I'm now 41 years old. This was my one and only "paranormal" experience. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
