The Warning

Two months ago, my current girlfriend and I started dating. I started staying over there on a nightly basis. She lived in a house she inherited from her mom who had died three years before. We used to fall asleep in her living room in front of the TV. I would wake up two hours before her to get at work on time. We would usually wake up about the same time.

One morning, an hour before I had to be up, I heard a voice say, "Are you ok?" I answered yes. The voice sounded just like my girlfriend, but as soon as I said yes, I opened my eyes and noticed she was dead asleep. I got up and got to my car on the street thinking I just imagined everything. I kissed her goodbye and went to my car, got in it and drove off.

As soon as I did, a tractor trailer went through the garage of my girlfriend's house, right through where my car would have been parked. My girlfriend was fine, but the damage was severe. I saw the semi in my rear view and saw no reason why he would run off the road, but after the wreck, he told me and my girlfriend that he had seen a girl who looked identical to my girlfriend down to the pajamas she was wearing. The driver claimed she appeared out of nowhere and he swerved to avoid hitting her.

My and my girlfriend are still together and have no idea what happened that morning.
