Little Hooded Entity

You don't know how relieved I am to have come across your website. I am 47 years old and have been plagued all my life about an experience I had when I was about 10 years old.

I went to sleep in the den of my family's house one night in the den only to wake up to a strange feeling in the room. When I turned my head, this unusual hooded being that was about two feet tall or a little taller was in the room with me, but stayed a few feet back. It appeared to have no face or it was hidden beneath the hood, but it also seemed to be old, or the material it was clothed in was like stone.

I tried to scream for my mom, but nothing came out of my mouth. I was terrified because it felt like an evil presence. I never had this happen again, but am still scared about what this was and why me. I learned from my daughter who is now 23 that she experienced something very identical to this as a child. Could this mean something bad or does this mean that some evil beings could be trying to enter our bodies somehow? I could never find an answer for this very strange experience.
