The Invitation

I've always had this sense that there was some thing else out there... something that went bump in the night. I just never had any proof. Until now. This happened at my old apartment in Hemet California. In the month of December, 2005. My friend Mary was sleeping over at my apartment because my roommate Tim was gone and I didn't like to be alone. It was about three o'clock in the morning and I woke up for no reason. I looked across at Mary and she was awake too. For a moment we stared at each other, then we heard it. In the dead silence, a little girl's voice, "Play with me." We both shot to our feet, unable to explain what we had heard. But we both heard the same thing. Needless to say, we didn't sleep any more that night.
