Trapped

I was dating a man who lived in a fairly new apartment building in Tualatin, Oregon. I lived a couple of hours away and didn't stay at his apartment but a couple of times. The last night that either of us spent in that apartment was when he was packing up and moving to The Dalles, Oregon. I stayed and helped him pack.
That night as he lay sleeping in his bed, I got up to use the bathroom. (If you came in the front door you would look into the living room and kitchen which was separated by a counter. To the right just across from the kitchen entry [which is all open visibly] is an area for a dining room table. This was where the short walk to the bedroom was, which was at the end of the walkway. From his bedroom door was the bathroom door immediately to the left.) After I left the bathroom I decided to walk out to the living room and have a cigarette before I tried to go back to sleep. The apartment was pitch dark. There were no windows except in the bedroom, which was covered with blinds and curtains, and the living room had a sliding glass door to a balcony that was right along side the main door and completely closed up with a drape as well.
As I started down the path to the front of the living room, I could sense someone was walking up behind me. All I had on was underwear and a tank top. I thought it was my boyfriend and continued down the hall expecting that he was wanting to scare me. After a couple more steps, I quickly glanced back and was stunned when I didn't see him behind me, but what appeared to be an outline of a figure a faint glow around it, but I could see the bedroom door behind/through it. I looked straight ahead and continued taking a couple more steps. It was like I could almost hear someone taking steps. Just as I was about to look behind me again, I was stopped in my tracks, just as I had reached the end of the walkway where it branched to either the entry to the kitchen or the entry to the dining table or straight ahead to the living room door. I say stopped because I literally felt as though something was standing in front of me. I was afraid to look up but did glance behind at which time I saw the same outline as before only more defined there was almost an actual being there though it seemed to glow around and through it.
As I quickly turned back toward the living room, it seemed there was not only the presence in front and behind me, but also from the dining table and kitchen. I literally felt trapped by four separate beings. The more I was feeling and seeing them, the more I could see them take shape. The one from behind me seemed to be wearing suspenders and maybe plaid, probably not more than 5'7", but the others seemed quite a bit larger and taller. The whole time that I felt there presence around me I felt a wind moving around at the end of the walkway, my hair was actually moving. Now mind you there were no windows open. I could also hear what sounded like unintelligible whispering. During all of this I was trying to look away and reach the light on the kitchen entry right directly behind me on the hallway wall I was leaning on. I remember trying so hard to find that switch and not wanting to look up so bad. I felt as though the presences were forcing me to the ground.
I did manage to turn on the light. As soon as I did the room seemed back to normal. It wasn't cold and windy, there were no abnormal noises and I didn't feel as though there was anyone in the room but me. I took a deep breath and ran straight to my boyfriend's bed. He had been sound asleep the whole time and when I leaped onto the bed he had but one comment to make all the while seeming to be saying it in his sleep; "If it bothers you turn on the light." I think it would be safe to say I didn't get any sleep the rest of that night. I can honestly say that since that has happened the guy and I haven't been together, but my "encounters" seem to be more and more frequent.
