Who Was
It?

Soon after my father had died some nine years ago, a few strange things began to happen in our house. The strangest was one day when my daughter had gone out for the day. My husband and I were watching TV in the front room when we heard Jo come home and shout, "Hello." My husband and I both shouted "hello" back to her and carried on watching TV and heard her go up the stairs.
About 20 minutes later, the phone rang. My husband answered it, then shouted upstairs for Jo. She failed to answer. He went upstairs to fetch her. He came back down looking puzzled and told her friend on the phone she wasn't here after all. We thought little of it until Jo came home 15 minutes later and we asked her why she had disappeared without telling us. She just stared and said she didn't come home earlier; she was in another town 15 miles away.
So who was imitating Jo? My husband would rather forget it, but I still wonder!
