Monkey Head Monster
by Laura
My friends and I were sitting on our porch one night, enjoying a nice autumn breeze and a few beers. We began hearing a soft growling noise coming from the garden a few yards away. At first we dismissed it as a raccoon or possum and continued our conversation. We didn't hear the noise for a good ten minutes until we began to hear a pig-like squealing coming from the same spot. The shriek started off soft and grew in intensity and volume. Startled, we began peering into the garden to see if could catch a glimpse of whatever was making the noise. Nobody could see anything. My friend Mark and I walked into the house to get flashlights to investigate when we heard my friend Sarah scream from the porch. We grabbed the flashlights and ran outside and were met by a horrible sight.
A creature approximately ten feet tall was perched in a tree. Its face was like an armadillo but it appeared to have a long, curved beak filled with sharp fangs. It body looked like an ape's, but it had enormous wings like that of a bat with strange razor-claws on the ends. It had legs like a mule and large furry feet. Its tail was long and split into three sections. Each section ended with what looked like a monkey's head, but with huge eyes and mouths. A tall top hat appeared to be resting on the creature's main head and each "monkey" had a long red beard.
The small heads began screaming obscenities at us, and a large variety of blasphemous blasphemies. Mark picked up a rock and threw it at the creature which proceeded to eat the rock and spit it back at us. The rock struck my retarded cousin in the head and she began screaming in pain. The sound of her screaming began to effect our monstrous adversary and it suddenly transformed into a ghostly apparition of a maiden dressed all in white. The maiden walked toward us and wailed a bone-chilling wail. It then flew off into the sky and we never saw it again.
