Old Hag
in Our DNA?

About 15 years ago, I was visited by the old hag, but at the time I had no idea what it was and I was terrified. I woke with a start because it felt like a warm hand was pressing on my chest and I felt warm air brush across my face, like someone was breathing on me. I sat up immediately. I felt as stiff as a board because I could not move any part of my body - not even my voice would work to scream. There was a like a poof of smoke by my closet door with the vision of an ugly face in it. I stared at it until it faded away. It seemed like an eternity, but might have only been a matter of a minute or so.
Today I am still weary that it might come back and visit me. Will it cause me harm at any point or will it leave me with bad luck or something? I feel there must be more to it than the scientific explanation that I have been reading about. What history do we carry in our DNA? What happened to our ancestors that could have been carried over? I would like to know more about this as I seem to have a habit of attracting the paranormal.
