Prankster Ghost
by A.R.

My husband and I had just built our new home. My husband and I, along with my mother and her husband, were painting. My husband was in the master bedroom, which was at the end of the house, and my mother and her husband were in our living room. I was painting the back door, which was in the laundry room; it was off the kitchen and then from there you had the living room which adjoined a long hall that lead to the bathroom and the three bed rooms (and the reason for details of the house has to do with the story).

My mother had been telling me about her experiences since she moved in her house that she had bought about a year before I built mine (which by the way was just next door to me on the same property in the country), I was in the laundry room painting the inside of my back door and my back was to the entrance of the room. I had my hair, which is down to my waist, up in a pony tail. I was half way through with the door when all of a sudden someone yanked my pony tail. As soon as it had happened, I turned around and no one was there. I saw no reflection in the glass on the door and I immediately went to the living room. My mom and her husband were not in there. I looked down the hall and my husband was on a six-foot latter with a bucket of paint in one hand and a brush in the other painting the ceiling trim. I went to the front door to see where my mom and her husband were, and they were at the end of my driveway leaning on the back of my husband's truck. There is no way in the world my mother and her husband could have pulled my hair and got out of the house and at the back of my truck that quick. I told everyone what had happened and my mom laughed at me and said, "I told you. It looks like they're going to come visit you also." It did not scare me but, it was the first physical encounter I had.
