Your True Tales

Chupacabra in Texas
by John O.

There is something here in Houston. The first time I heard about it was about 20 years ago, back in '82, I believe; I was about 10 years old. I believe it is called the Aldine legend. I heard it a couple of times through people here and there, but what I am about to write is genuine and true.

My mother at the time had a friend named Rosa. They were best friends, so were her son and I. One morning, midweek school day, she called my mother terrified, saying she saw something about 6:30 in the morning in the street walking. I was up getting ready for school and overheard my mother talking to her on the phone. What I heard was that she went to get the paper from the driveway. She looked to her left because something got her attention - something or somebody walking down the street. She ran inside to pray and to look out the window. She saw the creature for about half a block.

It was three feet tall, had red eyes like a mutant, kind of furry. It resembled a goat or baby cow; it had four or five legs; it moved like it was hurt or injured, wobbling, walking and hopping erratically very slowly.

At the the I heard that, I was pretty darn scared. Now I think it struck again on Wednesday, November 5, 2003. On the local 10 o'clock news, they said there had been a bobcat or coyote sighting in Aldine on Westfield Rd. Aldine is about 20-30 miles in area; the area it took place in is 15 miles from where I live. The weird thing about it was they had spotted bobcats on video around there, but toward the end of the story they were interviewing some man attacked by some creature that was three feet tall and had teeth like tusks. He also had a picture of his face and body of what this creature had done to him. The news team asked him why he didn't report it to the police; he said they would never believe him.

I also have a little story that I have encountered also in Aldine. About 10 years ago, my girlfriend and I had a pet rabbit; it was about two years old. We purchased it when it was little during Easter. We would let him out of his cage to roam around the yard and a couple of times we would let him stay out overnight outside. One morning, we didn't find him, but found a few but few fur hairs of him; no carcass, but a kidney or liver of him. No blood was found.
