My Grandfather's Ghost

This happened to me on Easter Sunday, 1992 when I was seven years old. My parents had bought me an Easter basket with several small toys and candies in it. After I had found my surprise, my father had left to see a friend and my mother and I were the only ones at the house. I had been playing in the hall way floor for about 25 minutes when I looked up and saw a man leaning against the wall with his arms crossed looking at me. I wasn't scared and some how I knew who it was.

My mother's father had died in 1974 (my mother's senior year of high school) and I had seen several pictures of him. I told my mother that there was a man in the hall watching me. She looked down the hall and said she didn't see anything. She asked me what he looked like, and I pointed to a picture we have of my grandfather that still sits in our living room. I described him leaning on the wall with his arms crossed and the suit he was dressed in. My mother never told me that is how he dressed or anything like that; however I described him perfectly. I'm 20 now and never deny that I saw my grandfather. Apparently, I'm the only one that has seen him. I've seen him one other time: Christmas night in 1999 when I was 16.
