Children's Past Lives?
by Margaret S.

I am experiencing an upsetting situation with my two-year-old daughter. She becomes terrified beyond reason, absolutely inconsolable, and hysterical while riding in the car when it is raining. She becomes so fearful that on three occasions she actually vomited. She screams "NO RAIN- PLEASE HELP YOU- NO TRUCKS!!!" over and over. Sometimes she will chant "It's ok, it's ok" and "rain all done" in between screams. When she is finally out of the car, she becomes very hyper and elated. She otherwise has no other fear of rain, in fact if she is in the house she seems to enjoy it! I am trying to find a way to help her, and am hoping you might offer some advice. Her pediatrician says she will "outgrow it." But the thought of her suffering through this every time it rains - I just cannot take it.

Of note: her older brother spoke of unusual things: "Remember when I was a little girl? Daddy and I used to have brown skin and lived on the grass. You are not my favorite mother. I like the one with blond hair where I stayed till I was 11 best." Starting from about 2-1/2. I chalked this up to a great imagination, given he was an extremely bright and articulate (later to find highly gifted) child. Now I am wondering. He doesn't speak of anything like that now, and stopped at around age 4. I did hear him tell his sister to "stop acting 2 when you know you are 97." When I asked him why he said, "That's how old she was before she was born."

Also, and I am mentioning this because I noticed on the site where you talk about birthmarks, my daughter does have a very large black birthmark on her right side, about her ribcage. I hope that I can find some way to help my daughter.
