Uncle Jimmy's Ghost
by Sierra

When I was seven years old, my Uncle Jimmy died at my grandmother's house. About two days after that happened, my mom went to stay with my grandmother. I was left at home with my dad. When I was that little, I hated sleeping alone, so I slept with dad.

We had both fallen asleep at about 8:00. Then around 10:30 I woke up out of a dead sleep. At the end of the bed I saw Uncle Jimmy! I was really scared. I finally moved under the covers and ended up waking up dad. "Sierra, get out from under the covers and go to sleep." "I can't, dad. I'm too scared. I can see Uncle Jimmy at the end of bed," I told him. I didn't want to know what was going on. I just wanted to fall asleep right there or at least wake up from a dream. I put my hands over my ears and tried as hard as I could to fall asleep and that's just what I did.

The next morning I woke up and walked into the kitchen to find my dad making breakfast. He told me to sit at the table, breakfast would be done soon. I sat down and waited a short while. Finally, dad set down a plate in front of me and sat down. I began to eat and neither of us said anything. Soon, I couldn't take the silence. "Dad, did you believe me when I said that I saw Uncle Jimmy last night?" I asked. He stared at me and then said, "Yes. By the way, Uncle Jimmy says he loves you and your turning into a beautiful young lady."

Now when people say they have seen ghosts or spirits of their relatives I believe it.
