Your True Tales

Saved from a Predator
This story took place in 1980 in Chicago, Illinois. The miraculous beauty of this story and my gratitude has remained with me since.
My sons, Jim and Sean, (ages 14 and 12 years) and I were visiting Chicago from St. Louis, Missouri. We had taken a train from St. Louis and had spent two days touring the museums in Chicago. On this particular day, we were enjoying an unusually beautiful sunny March day in the park by the Lake Michigan. My sons and I were playfully frolicking at the lake's shore while large slabs of ice melted in the lake.
A man, suit and tie, late 30s or early 40s, average height and weight, thinning brown hair, rather bland looking in appearance approached us. He seemed friendly enough and started an ordinary, unmemorable conversation with us. After 30 minutes or so, I told him that it was nice to meet him and we were leaving for lunch. As we started to leave, the man took my son Sean's hand and announced that he would treat us to lunch at McDonald's right around the corner. Of course, the boys were excited about lunch at McDonald's and they found no objection.
Sean was walking across the busy Chicago street as the man was smiling and saying he and Sean would pick up the food and bring it back to the park. Everything was happening so fast. The mid-day traffic zooming past me, the man talking and acting rapidly; it was as if I was in a trance and couldn't think or react clearly.
As the man and Sean were half-way across the street, I felt an invisible open palm of the hand hit me in the chest and a voice say, "PAY ATTENTION!"
I was immediately brought back to reality as to what was happening. This man was attempting to kidnap my son. I started yelling, "Sean, Sean, Stop! Come back!" I stopped traffic and took my son's hand. I told the man to be on his way. I knew I would not have been able to make a police report based on my spiritual experiences, but I know that my son had been in danger.
Sean was saved by the intervention of either his spiritual guide or mine. Events had been heading down a pathway that were not suppose to happen. An angel intervened to keep it from happening. The next day before we left Chicago to return to St. Louis, I checked the area for a McDonald's restaurant. There was none within the area.
