Who's That Knocking at My Door?

Has anyone had someone knocking at their bedroom door and no one is there? This happens quite often to me. It used to happen to my mother also. My mother died when I was 16, so I can't ask her. My most recent experience was yesterday. I was taking an afternoon nap and in a deep sleep. My 15-year-old son was downstairs on a couch watching TV. I was upstairs in my husband's and my bedroom. My husband and daughter were not home. I asked my son to not wake me up because I was really tired. I fell into a deep sleep and then I woke up to this pounding on my bedroom door, which was locked. I had heard knocking before most of my life, but it was softer, so I got used to it. This knock was angry and loud. It startled me and at first I thought it was my son and I yelled very loudly, "What do you want?" My son heard the knocking too and heard me yelling. He ran upstairs and there was no one there. He went outside and there was no one there. Does anyone know what this knocking thing is?
