The Voice
of Death

When I was nine years old, I was sitting and watching my mom sweep the floor. This strange thought came to me. It said, "What are you going to do without your mom?" I remember thinking, "Nothing is going to happen to her." The voice said, "We will see." Over the next couple weeks it kept shouting it at me; night was the worst when it would wake me up. Well, one day I came home from school. It was a Friday payday and we always went to town. So my mom said she was going to go get ready to go, and that we would leave after my older sister got home. So she went into the bathroom, and when she came out she looked over at me, grabbed her chest and fell to the floor. I could not wake her. Then she started making a strange noise, which someone told me was the death call. To me it sounded like she was grasping for breath. It was two minutes until my sister got home. She called 911, but it was too late. They said she died before she fell over from a massive heart attack.
It happened again when I was 15 with my dad. I have not heard the voice again. I do not know what it means, but it still scares me when I think about it.
