Mental Commands to UFO
by Jhmcquil

Approximately eight years ago I was on retreat in Esopus, N.Y. The seminary we were staying at was located on the Hudson and the time of year was October. The weather was cool and the window to my room was open, but the screen was up. The sky was clear, except for the millions of stars that were unobstructed by any of the modern-day light pollution that occurs at midnight. I was sitting at the window on the ledge provided by the type of construction offered inside the room (Gothic in design), and doing what I do best: Observing. I couldn't help but to notice a very bright and large star located in the north sky. I automatically assumed it was the North Star, being an amateur at identifying bodies so familiar to astronomy buffs. I sat and stared at it for 20 minutes. Being cognoscente of how time and subjects of the paranormal and UFO related topics are relevant, I recorded the time I was viewing this star. I also got the feeling that someone was watching me. I recalled thinking or, better yet, recalled being aware (by an inner voice), that the star could actually be a craft. I wanted to deny this because that reality would make me uncomfortable. Yet, for some reason I started talking to the star and tried to provoke it to move, as if it were a ship pretending to be a star. I laughed at myself as if I were somebody else. This became a game and I continued to try to prompt whoever was steering or commanding the ship to move. This star or ship did not move one iota for over 30 minutes by now. I remember saying that I dare you to move and it started to rise (or appear to) up toward the 2 o'clock position from where it was. It stopped and I just about fainted with surprise. I continued to speak to it and told it to come closer to me and it proceeded to fly over the building at what seemed to be at a slow speed. The best way I could describe what I saw was that the craft was a cigar-shaped, blimp-type object that had a blue and white flame coming out the back. I was about to lose sight of the craft and I ran out of the room and realized I had no where to go to continue to view this object in the night sky. Part of me was glad. I willingly gave up and went back to bed, or should I saw back to the bedroom only to lie awake for hours for fear to go to sleep that someone or something was going to abduct me. I know what I saw was no star and the length of time I viewed it was way too long for it to be a moving object that was on its way to me all that time. The light emanating from it all that time did not raise or lower in intensity or brightness at all. I was aware of the importance in how I observed this phenomenon.
