Eyes of a Stranger
by Tia J.

I'm a 17 year old girl from Georgia. Ever since I was little, I would get very strange feelings around certain people. It could be someone I saw in the grocery store or even someone my family knew. When I was little, I was very shy and I really didn't understand what was going on, so I never told anyone. The worse case was last summer when I went to an amusement park with my family. I was waiting in line for one of the rides when I started getting this very eerie feeling. It was like an evil presence was watching me. That's when I looked over and saw this man standing in line. The second I saw him, I knew he was the source. As we waiting in line, the feeling got so bad I was in tears. It was almost as if he was draining all my energy - he was making me physically sick. I grabbed my mom and told her what was going on. I just kept saying, "That man has done something very bad." The strange thing was, he was staring at me constantly. At one point, he looked me right in the eye. At that second, it was like he knew that I knew his "secret" or something he was hiding.

Finally, my mom and I fought our way through the crowd and got away from the area. I could feel the relief the moment I moved away from him. It was like this large weight had been lifted from my body. After an hour or so, I had calmed down but remained paranoid. It took me a while to stop shaking, but I was alright. At this point, we went to get something to eat at the food court. The idea of running into him again was already in my mind when the feeling returned. As we got closer to the food court, my hands started shaking once again and it all came rushing back. Sure enough, when we went to eat, he was there. He sat at the table next to us. He was with some other people. I wanted to leave, of course, but it's hard to explain something like this to your family. They really don't understand. I'm really the only one in my family that believes in paranormal things anyway.
