Ghost in the House
by Brittany F.

When my great-uncle was first married, he bought a house on a well-known street. No one ever warned him as to what might happen if he took up residence there. Well, strange things had always happened since they moved in, but it was after their children were all born did things really start to become weird.

One day, when my grandpa (my uncle's brother) went to their house with his kids all of the cousins started to play. After they had been playing for some time, my aunt heard what she thought were the kids jumping on the bed. She went in to yell at them, but when she got in there, there wasn't anyone in there. So she called in the other adults and said, "These kids are hiding from me and I think we should beat their butts. What do you think?" Just then, all the kids walked in and the bed started to squeak without anyone on it! There was even an indentation each time the bed squeaked! They all heard giggles of little children.

Another time, my uncle was home all alone and he was practicing his shots on the pool table. When he finished, he racked the balls and walked out. The dog started to bark a few minutes later and my uncle walked in to see that the balls were all over the table and rolling into the holes one by one. The last incident was when my grandpa and his kids went over there and they were all eating dinner and they heard a noise from the attic - a loud noise. So everyone went up there and tried to find the source of the noise. They found out it was this old toy vacuum that supposedly didn't work anymore, and when they tried to turn off the toy, the switch wouldn't work, so my grandpa opened up the battery compartment to find the batteries were all decayed and couldn't possibly work. As soon as they started to try to figure it out, it shut off, and try as they might they never got it to work again.

They finally decided to sell their house after a spirit started to call their daughter's name repeatedly in the night. After they sold it, they found out the whole street was built in an Indian burial ground.
