Entity in a Robe

This account happened in the summer of 1986 in Metarie, Louisiana. I was falling asleep when I noticed that my body was shaking and I was making a growling sound. I do not remember dreaming of anything before. Suddenly, my eyes opened and I saw a figure standing over me wearing a dark robe and hood. It was standing in front of my window and the light from the streetlight outside seemed to pass through the being. I remember that the eyes were round and very large - at least three times normal and that they glowed in a black radiance. It is hard to explain, but the eyes were totally black, but shined bright. The eyes and face had no expression and it looked at me as though I was only meat. The look of the eyes were evil. This entity never spoke or touched me. My body was straining to get free of some kind of paralysis. 

Finally, I broke free and leaped to my feet on the bed and threw a punch at what I thought was an intruder in my apartment. I never struck anything and started to spin around on the bed looking to see where the intruder was, but could not see anybody. I jumped off the bed toward the light switch and turned on the light, being very afraid that someone was inside my apartment. I looked everywhere and found nobody and all the doors and windows were locked. I didn't go back to sleep until the sun was up full. It never happened again. Maybe it just wanted to scare the hell out of me.
