The
Screaming Ghost
by Jonas L.
When I was 13 years old, I was on vacation to my homeland in Finland with my mom. We had grandmother with us on our vacation "summer home" in Uimanäivi, where we stayed for three weeks. One day I was going to see other family members who nearby. As I was walking, I looked backward, feeling that someone was following me, but there was no one. I kept walking. Then I heard a scream from the right. I moved my head to the right and saw a black-shaped figure walking into the forest, so I started to walk faster. But when I watched back, he wasn't there.
I heard the scream again, but closer. I looked back and saw the figure's face! I was so scared that I started to run. The figure started to hunt after me, but then he stopped and said, "Mä pois sinä ei sa olla tählaa." In Finnish that means, "Go away. You are not allowed to be here." Then he screamed again and disappeared.
