Haunted University and Its Ghosts

I am currently attending Rider University and I am a freshman. About a month into college, I started noticing some extremely odd things happening on all parts of the campus. One such instance was at about 3:00 a.m. when I got up to use the bathroom down the hall from my dorm room. When I was in there, I started to look in the mirror to see how my new earring was healing up. Suddenly the door to the stall started to sway open and close, then suddenly stopped as quickly as it started. Another such instance happened three days later. That night while I was sleeping, I was awakened by the sound of talking voices, so naturally I walked to my window to tell the people outside to shut up, but there was no one out there. I went into the hall outside my room to see if that was where it came from, yet there was no one there. I tried to go back to bed thinking it was a dream when I heard the voices again - and, mind you, it wasn't a TV because it was 5:00 a.m., so I just shrugged it off and fell back to sleep.

The most creepy incident that has happened to me was that I was in my friend's room watching a movie. He lives one door down on the opposite side of the hall, so I brought my cordless phone because I was expecting a call from my girlfriend. While watching the movie, I heard the sound of my phone beep in my pocket as if I had dialed some numbers. When I looked at the lcd screen, the numbers 666 were on it. As soon as I deleted them off the phone rang, when I picked up I heard the sound of crackling fire and distant screams. I said hello and was greeted by a very demonic deep sounding voice that said, "Death, pain, suffering" and hung up. This may have been a coincidence with a prank call, but it was very odd anyway.

A few weeks later, I had made some new friends over in the freshman dorm because by chance I ended up in an upperclassman dorm. While talking to them, I found out the both of them have also been having some odd experiences. When I asked the one, she explained that one weekend when she was alone in the room while her roommate was home, she was on the computer when the door that was deadbolted shut suddenly, opened, then slammed shut and was relocked when she got to it. Her roommate showed me a picture to see if I could figure out the odd objects in a picture she took in the hall outside her room with her friends. When I was astonished at what I saw: there were two white globule like orbs floating around and two electrical like streaks in the picture. The most puzzling part was that there are no windows in the hallway yet in the middle of the picture there was a face of a kid that no one had ever seen. The face was diagonal and looked as if it was a reflection off a window. I then began talking to another kid I knew who says at night if he looks in his mirror he will sometimes see the reflection of a face that isn't his in it.

I then asked a few of my friends who were upperclassmen if they have had anything like that happen, and each one of them got a very odd and pale look. They had all agreed on having odd experiences in the college. One of them told me a story about their room. She says that it always gets freezing cold whenever something is about to happen. She said one time while lying in her bed reading a book, it got very cold when her lamp suddenly fell off her desk and hit her, cutting her hand. Another incident involved three of us. My two friends and I were taking a nice stroll around campus right after we had had a large snow storm. When we stopped to look at this old house on our campus, we suddenly saw a woman-like figure in a flowing white cloak like garb go walking on top of the snow and disappear. We thought we were cracking up at first until we found out that the house we were looking at was actually haunted for years.
