Laundromat
Ghost
by Manda
My unusual experience happened at the laundromat. Due to the holiday chaos at my home, I had fallen seriously behind on the laundry. I took my 10-month-old son with me. Everything was normal until I took the dry clothes out to fold them. I heard my son laughing hysterically and turned around to see him looking in the direction of one of the industrial sized dryers. Then he waved and said something like, "Ba Ba, MeeMaw."
I know this crazy, but this is the weird part. My son only waves if someone is waving at him and "MeeMaw" is a pet name for my mother who hasn't seen her grandson yet and doesn't even live in the same country as me! Did my son somehow see my mother, who has been desperately missing her grandchildren, through a dryer? Does "Ba Ba, MeeMaw" mean "Bye bye, Grandma"? Was he waving to her?
P.S.: I told my husband about my experience at the laudromat, and he told me that his cousins also called his grandmother "Meemaw". Could it have been great-grandma coming to check up?
