Mysterious Visitors
by Hope K.

About five years ago, I was home alone with my two-year-old son. I live in Saudi Arabia. I don't know if you know about the world of Jinn. Interesting they are.

It was afternoon, about 3:30 p.m., when I heard women arguing very loudly. I thought it was my TV at first, so I turned off my TV. I still heard the voices, so I went outside and I didn't hear the voices. I came back inside and then soon realized the voices were coming from the roof of my house! (The houses in Saudi Arabia have open roofs where you can stand on them much like that of a building.)

I went to the second floor and my heart started to race. There were women on my roof speaking Arabic. I screamed in the little Arabic I had, "Who is that? I have a gun and I am going to call the police?" They got very quiet. Then a woman said, "Don't be afraid. I am with my mother and sister and I am going to come down now." I said, "Do you have men with you?" I am a Muslim, so I wasn't dressed in my abaya. The woman said, "No men are with us."

She came down, all dressed in black. She shook my hand and smiled at me as if she knew me and we were greeting each other as usual. She summoned her mother to come down and sister from the third floor. Her mother could barely walk. She had a cane. I took them down to the first floor. They were looking around the house. They remarked that my house was very nice, nicer than the other one.

Now I do have to explain: I was living in duplex whereby the roof was open to each other on top. The duplex next door was empty for about six months. The woman was talking easily to me as if she had known me. She picked up my son and said, "Don't let him cry, it isn't good." I said, "Okay..." She was telling me she was looking for a house and she accidentally came to my house by mistake. Yes, that is very possible, but later I will explain how that wasn't the case.

I offered them tea, but they refused. They asked my family name and I told them and then I asked theirs and they gave each other a grin and a strange look in Arabic and then said their family name. They said they had to go and that they would take themselves to the door. I let them go, but I swear I heard the door open and close, but I never heard my outside gate open and close - and it is the very noisy type.

I informed my husband of what had happened. He immediately called the owner of the house to inquire whether the real estate had shown the empty complex to anyone. Mind you, the owner had his building with one real estate who said they hadn't shown anyone the building. The neighbors before had moved out because they had complained of strange experiences like lights flicking on and off, etc. I have had strange experiences as well. None of the experiences are frightening... almost as if they are friendly. Strange... strange indeed.
