Beckoned by a UFO
by Sue

This happened back in 1973 when I was 11 years old. My mom and my grandma never did believe me, always saying that it was my imagination or a dream, but I KNOW it wasn't and I still get chills when I tell of my experience to this day.

We were spending the night at my grandparent's farm in Clyman, Wisconsin. My sister and I were sleeping in the bedrooms upstairs like we usually did when we stayed at the farm. The two bedrooms were right next to each other, but there was about a two-foot space left open where the dividing wall should have met the outside wall. It was like having connecting rooms and we would often sneak back and forth between rooms, and a lot of times my sister would sleep with me in my bed.

This particular night we slept in our own beds. I don't know what woke me up, but I had been asleep for a while. I didn't just wake up though; it was like something woke me up. I distinctly remember not wanting to wake up, but something was prodding me to. Once I was fully awake, I realized that it was very cold in the room and I wondered why my sister wasn't in bed with me because she usually did when it was cold. I also realized that I was aware of something else.

It's still hard to explain, but it was like something was communicating with me in my head and it was pulling me toward the window. It was not a good feeling. I sensed that it was something evil and I was scared. I got out of the bed and took the couple of steps toward the window, looking out. I was so scared, yet I still went to the window as it beckoned. Whatever it was, it was communicating mentally, not even in words, like we talk, but more like instant communications. I knew what it wanted me to do.

I don't know if this was a UFO, exactly, but it seemed intelligent and not human. It appeared as a series of small lights that swirled around outside about 100 feet from my window. There was a Purple Martin birdhouse up on a pole that it seemed to dance around. The lights would sometimes become one bigger light and then break apart into four or six smaller lights that changed colors from white, red, green and yellow. They seemed to have a certain pattern to their flights and it was mesmerizing. It felt unmistakably evil to me and it meant me harm. It was pulling me mentally to come to it. It was very strong and it seemed like I was battling it mentally for a long time, but I'm sure it was it was only minutes, or perhaps even seconds.

I know I was mentally screaming, "No!" to it and I became aware in my thoughts that it would harm my sister. That scared me even more because my sister is younger than me and I knew she wasn't as strong as me or able to fight it. I became so enraged and scared that I kept screaming at it in my mind until I was actually screaming out loud and banging on the window, breaking it with my fists. Once the window broke, the hold it had on me also broke and it was gone.

Within seconds my sister was awake and my mom and grandma were running in the room. I told them what had happened and they kept telling me I must have had a nightmare, even though I argued with them. I am now 44 years old and I still can remember it as clearly as when it happened. It was not a nightmare. I know I fought something that night. I even have the physical scars on my hands to remind me of it.
