Pennies on the Graves
by Armand D.

When my wife died in1997, I purchased a cemetery lot for two, so I could be buried there as well with my wife of 38 years. We were very close all those married years. Four years later my brother-in-law died. My wife and her sister were very close and so was I to my brother-in-law. We enjoyed summers at the beach, went out to eat together, and visited each other often to play card games and just have fun. What is strange about this story is as follows:

My wife's grave site row rapidly filled up and a second row soon filled up also, with one exception. The grave site directly in back of my wife's was empty and all the other spots were filled. My sister-in-law and I would go visit my wife's grave and place flowers. We both commented on how strange it was that for the past four years the cemetery had filed up and that the one site behind my wife's was vacant. When my brother-in-law died, we inquired about the empty grave site in back of my wife's. The caretakers could not explain how that site was overlooked. Yes it was empty and could bury my brother-in-law at that site. So they are buried back to back as will my sister-in-law, and I be buried there as well. We will still be together.

The story does not end there. Last week (5/24/03) we went to place flowers on both graves. While I was on my hands and knees, my sister-in-law noticed a penny on each grave stone in the exact same spots back to back. At first we didn't make anything of it until watching "Crossing Over" show on TV, that we learned that our loved ones often leave coins usually pennies to tell us they are ok. Remember the movie Ghost and how a penny identified the lost loved one. We are now convinced that our loved ones were communicating to us that they were in a better place and for us not to worry about them.
