The
Demon's Grip

I have read some of the ghost stories here and they are somewhat related to my personal experiences. I was born with what most people call a "veil over her eyes," so I am prone to supernatural experiences and seeing visions and things.
The scariest experiences that I have so far involve dark figures. One night about a year ago, I fell asleep on the living room couch. All of a sudden, I saw a demon (or at least what I think is one) at the end of the couch with an evil grin and dark (pitch black eyes) staring at me. My mother was on the other couch asleep and I looked at her, but I couldn't move because the demon had a strong hold on my left leg. When I tried to call out, I couldn't because while he had my leg, I also felt as if I were being strangled. I couldn't breathe and just when I thought that I would suffocate, my father ran in the living room and it was gone.
The first visit wasn't the last either. I went to bed a different night and woke up at about 2 a.m. I woke up and saw a tall dark figure about 6 ft. tall standing aside my bed. I felt the strangulation feeling again. I almost collapsed, but managed to make it out of bed to turn my light on. Finally, I talked with my aunt who also has the same gift I do, and she suggested prayer. So I prayed the next night before I went to bed and said, "You, evil spirit, I want you gone and show your departure." At that instant, I heard something crash to the floor. I ran into my father's room. He said a picture of "God's Creation of Man," which had been hung on the wall securely for years, fell and crashed to the floor.
I'm glad the demon is gone, but he left a nasty vibe in the room before I told him to leave, as if I were being watched through the eyes of an angry person.
