Uncle's
Energy
by Jean
My experience took place
on October 29, 2002. My husband, who normally arises at 5:00 a.m., had to go
to work an hour early and so had gotten up at 4:00 and left just before 5:00.
For some unknown reason, I could not sleep after he had left, which was very
unusual since I do not arise before 6:00 a.m. I do not like lights in my eyes
the first thing in the morning, and find that I can pour my coffee that my husband
has made by the light of the digital clocks in the kitchen.
On this morning, I got up due to not being able to sleep and poured my coffee,
but for some reason didn't feel like I "knew" what to do. I normally
turn the TV on to catch the morning weather and news. This particular morning,
I was standing in the middle of our living room.
I had just taken a drink from my coffee in the dark when a "light"
or "orb," as some call it, passed through my living room. It went
parallel with my coffee table and danced for a moment at one of our stereo speakers
at the other end of the room. Then it was gone. I had heard of spirits or energy
of passed on people, but had never experienced anything to believe it. Just
being smart with myself, I said, "I'm not very good at this. Who is this?"
About two seconds later, the phone rang. It startled me so. The police were
on the other end. They were asking me to come to my aunt's house because my
uncle had just passed on. She needed me there.
My husband and I believe in a person's "energy" after passing on.
After this, we both believe that my uncle was trying to tell me or prepare me
for what I would need to do that day. My mother, his sister, was going to the
hospital for surgery that day. He gave me strength to tell her about him, take
care of my aunt and continue to take care of my mother as she died just four
months later.
My father has some strange and unusual things happen to him. He is the biggest
skeptic you could ever believe. My mother believed in "life" after
death and he used to tell her that she was being silly and that the stories
she would tell him were made up to scare her. Now after all this time, he believes
because evidently my mother is hanging around to let him know that it is true.
She was a very ornery person and I believe she is doing it to let him know that
it is true.
