Father's Signs
by Gena

My father passed away on October 12, 1999. This was his home. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1998 and we (my husband Mike, and two kids, Anthony now 16 and daughter Amanda now 13 and I) moved into his home.

Since his death, I'd say two months after he passed, things started. First were things like car keys coming up missing, only to be found in strange places such as closets or under beds. My dad, by the way, liked to do that; he had sense of humor. He walked on a walker and made this "click-click" when he walked. I heard that until about six months ago in morning.

Lately we've been getting some different things. I was getting on my daughter's case as she can be lazy. I was telling her she needed to get her room picked up. I was in hallway and she in living room. Between us were two double doors that house the furnace and hot water heater. The doors are tight and we have to pull on them snug to get them open. One came open quiet as you please and swung fully open. The door that swung open was one that has a top lock that latches to hold it close.Needless to say, my daughter and I were very quiet.

To make a long story short, we've heard the front door open and close. My, daughter and husband have seen lights, small balls of light; we call them lit-up cotton balls. They seem to have light coming from inside of them.

The biggest thing is pennies. Why do I have pennies falling? I've had four so far fall within last year. They fall out of the ceiling, it seems. I've never seen them fall, but I hear them hit the floor and roll around like tops by the time I get in there. It's always late at night when only I am up. My husband was able to witness one. Two of the pennies were from 1926, the year my dad was born.
