The
Rose-Colored Lights
by Skye F.
Having left work that late afternoon in January 1990, I drove home along the dike road that runs along our river for many many miles. It was 4:45 p.m., a unseasonably warm January day, and it was pouring rain. I suddenly got a feeling of loneliness on the road, as I could see for several miles in front and in back of me, and thought it unusual that no one else was headed home at that hour of the day. As January becomes quite dark early in the day, I strained to see through the driving rain when I saw two rose-colored lights on my hatchback window. I was shocked that there was so instantly a car behind me, and thought it was possibly a police car as it followed me so closely. In checking my rear view mirror, I could still see the rose-colored glow, and attempted to pull over to let the car behind me pass. In doing so, I noticed that there was no car behind me on that desolate road, nor were there any roads where one could pull off. The lights disappeared, and when I started up again, they again attached to my rear window, however they cast absolutely no beams through my car. Slowing down again, the lights disappeared. Continuing on home, I noticed how much my head ached. I never before ever got headaches, but this one lasted for three days after the incident. It was a year later that I read in the Fate magazine about a man who had had the very same experience with the rose-colored lights that cast no beams. I could only attribute this to an extraterrestrial occurrence, as UFOs have appeared before in our area many times.
