Grandpa's
Advice

One night 10 years ago I kept dreaming that someone was yelling at me. It seemed as if they were desperately trying to tell me something, but I could not make out what they wanted to say. I awoke several times with a distinct feeling that I had just been exposed to a loud voice. It left me with the same sensation you get immediately in the silence after fireworks, after a loud song at a concert or the after announcements at a sporting event. Your body knows it has just been exposed to a loud noise. It seemed to be the same word over and over.
The following day I found out my grandfather had passed away during the night. That day I was in my house when, suddenly, I had a dizzy spell. I felt as if I has been smacked in the head (I've been hit before, but have never been so nearly knocked unconscious.) I lost my balance and almost fell over. In the same moment, in a stern man's voice, I CLEARLY heard this word in my ear: "REPRODUCE!" I immediately knew it was the same word I heard over and over the night before.
I was newly married at the time, but had no children yet. No one on that side of the family had any offspring either. I guess Grandpa was worried about continuing the family bloodline.
P.S. I followed orders and less than a year later we had our first child.
