Near-Death
Experience
by Daniel
A while ago, I was going on to my nan and pop that God isn't real, but my mind changed when my nan told me a story of what happened to my dad when he was 19.
My dad had broken his leg, but didn't really care, so he and a few friends went out drinking. They went down to the river to jump off the bridge. When he jumped off the bridge, he didn't come up after about two minutes. Luckily, there was an army guy fishing nearby. He went over and jumped in after my dad. When he brought him up, my dad was not breathing, so he did mouth to mouth and brought him back. During that time, they had called the ambulance, and on the way to the hospital, my had died three times (heart stopped).
A few days later, when my
dad was better, he had told my nan that when he drowned, he thought he was not
going to make it back. The first time he died, he said he was standing on top
of himself, watching the guys in the ambulance trying to bring him back.
The second and third time his heart stopped, he said all he could see was a
bright white light, and about 20 metres away from him was an old lady, which
he described to be my nan's mum (whom he had never seen until this time). She
was coming closer to him, calling him to come to her, saying it's a better place
here. When she started to get closer to him, he heard a voice say to him, "Turn
around and go back. It is not your time to go yet." This happened to him
twice.
